The Reiki Cafe 

Hey all,

I work in a large not-for-profit theater. One of our actresses has a stalker. Today this man came into the Box Office (my department) and attempted to buy a ticket to see this actress.

This actress had a restraining order against this man and it has since lapsed. She is going to refile for it again today.

My question: Is there anything I can do reiki-wise to help protect my staff, my building, and this actress against this man who is viewed as an eminent threat against this woman?

As I said, this organization is large as it is housed in a historical theater that is 5 stories tall and contains two theater spaces as well as large staff-wise. I'm not close to the actress who is under threat, so I don't know how well she'd be open to receiving reiki.

Hi,

To me it sounds as if you wnat to use Reiki in ways that other magical practices are applied for protection. For myself, I do not feel it is the appropriate use for Reiki nor is it likely to be effective. If you do not want him on the premeses then the police would be the ones to call I suppose.

Hmm.. I guess you are right. You can draw your symbols around you for personal protection... So I guess my question is is there a way to apply that principal to a building, my staff, or this actress?

Also, perhaps the best thing to do is a cleansing of the area he was in?

Trust in me, we have upped security, notified police, etc.

You are, of course free to make the attempt. However, getting the permssion of all others who may be affected by your 'magic' seems prerequisite.

my guess would be to protect your friend and try it on the building too. At least you would have done your best. Does this situation make you feel helpless to protect her? Is it bringing up issues for you at all? Genuine questions, no judgement intended.

Dear Judevine,
In this situation, receiving Reiki would likely help promote relaxation and a calmer attitude & that certainly should help one deal with a difficult situation. Reiki does not provide protection from attack however.

You are entitled to filling the space with your own energy. For this do not be daunted by the enormousness of it. Just be reiki with yourself and fill the space.

I see nothing wrong with bringing Light into a situation. You are not requesting a specific thing to happen, just that there be Light in this place. It is no accident that you are where you are. Be light and bless all around you.
That is the best you can do. For me, Reiki is Light. Hey,whenever I fly, I beam white light all around the whole plane........I don't think that interferes with the Karma of anyone on the plane! If it would have, we would not be on the same flight.......we are all in the perfect place to be Light.

I guess my oppionion is different than everone. I feel that Reiki can be used without question, for any situation.
If we can send Reiki to heal the world, send distant healings, we can put a bubble around one building easy enough. Reiki is for the better good of everyone. We are talking universal power here with no limits.
