my old dog 'Nelson'

hi everyone,
this is Wendy here...
I don't know if you remember me saying about 4 months ago my dog Nelson had Cancer?
well he had been wonderful, coming & asking me for reiki, & walk away when he had had enough!
well bless his golden heart, we had to have him sent over last week,......I must add HE WAS IN NO PAIN...I knew Nelson & reiki would tell me when the 'time' was right, & that's just what happened...Nelsons eye's one morning looked different, I said "what's up old man?" & the look he gave me said "I want to leave now"......
my husband brought the car round & opened the door fully, (as nelson's legs are about like mine) nearly gone!!!

to bring him here to this new place where we now live, he had to have a box to get on to be able to get in the car!!
this time he just stepped straight up & in.....(he has been in this car only the once,).....
he knew ALL that was going to happen, I had sent him reiki for 'acceptance & peace of the situation', with his full permission....& that's how it was.....

my husband said he didn't even flinch when they gave him the needle, Ken felt his spirit 'lift from him'. while in his
arms, as the needle did it's work, all very peaceful...
the vet could not believe the size of the cancer (as it could be seen,)& he had not had pain, Ken said he had reiki every day, she said "that explains it then",& told Ken to thank me...ofcause I needed no thanks, as it wasn't me....

at the moment we still have a huge piece of 'us' missing, but we can 'feel' him here still, he will go when he's ready.....

thought I would let you know, as I did when we found the cancer 5 months ago....
love to you all, Wendy xxx

Nice to see you back Wendy.
A bittersweet time for you and Ken now. It is nice you can feel his spirit still around. That alone will bring some comfort to you both.

Just ease along with each day as it comes and passes.
Loving memories will sustain you both.

Bon Voyage' Nelson.

Donna

Dear Wendy,
What luck your friend had to have compassionate humans around him. Animals have a way of wrapping around your heart & soul in a unique way, don't they? Having just lost my old dog 2 months ago, I know it is hard no matter how well prepared you are. But all spirit connections, such as that which you have shared with us, are truly blessings. I count ourselves fortunate to have had an animal gaurdian for so long.

peace & joy,
holobon

Hi Wendy,

Having lost my collie Jake a few months back I know how you must be feeling...such a mixture of emotions.

My thoughts are with you.

Hugs and Blessings

I thank 'you all' for your caring words about 'Nelson',
as you say "such a mixture of emotions"...
but he, & all my other past over pets, are always with me in my heart...& I never regret one minute of having them, & giving, & 'very much' receiving their faithful love..
thanks again..
luv Wendy xxx

Sending love and hugs.
How wonderful the soul connection you all had with each other.
I am happy there was such a peaceful "knowing" at the end.
The depth of our sadness reveals the depth of our connection.
Prayers that your heart continues to heal from the "hole."
Blessings,
Feather

Hello wamps,

A road I have travelled many times with many critters. I hope I know exactly how you feel, but what you did for the old lad was wonderful - I only hope I have the courage and skill to do the same for mine when the time comes.

I offer you these words to speak to Nelson:-

Winged ones of heaven and swimmers in ocean,
Great ones and small ones who walk on the earth,
Blessing surround you and strongly protect you,
Creatures and kindred, companions and friends.

(Celtic Devotional - Blessing for the animals)

Blessed be,

Brian

thank you Brian,
that was beautiful, & so very thoughtful, we will say this to him , near his little tree we planted, (I am sure he knows it is his!),
You will 'know' when the 'time' comes Brian, as 'they' tell you!, Nelson & I had great communication while he was alive also,& he conveyed his needs through to me, Like I would love a chewy!, I want out,I want a walk etc. etc, also he knew when I was not feeling good..he would comfort me, lay on my feet & give the 'knee lick' every now & again, or foot lick, (Nelson was not a 'licky' sort of dog normally,)but he knew this would comfort me......need I say more,
They choose us, we don't choose them,..they are so much smarter than us eh!!
thank -you all for your uplifting support,
luv to you all, Wendy xxx

Dear Wendy,

I just hope it helps you a little. As I said, it is a road I have travelled many times and it does not get easier. In fact, as I have got older, it seems a little harder to take those decisions. On previous occasions, I have not had the benefit of reiki to help me, but I am hoping that, when the time comes for the old lad, an 11.5 year old Hungarian Viszla, to make the transition, reiki will help both him and I.

Good luck and I feel sure that Nelson's spirit will hear your blessing.

Slan go foille agus beannacht leat.

Brian

Thank you again Brian,
your right, it does get harder as we age,..(but I have had to do this in the past with no help or & knowing...)
believe me, Reiki will, & does help, it opens you up to more than 'life' on this plane,...I 'know' Nelson is happy, that knowing only came from Reiki...so don't look ahead with fear of that coming day, love your 'old Lad' a little 'more' each day while you have him as a whole, & can put your arms around him & look into those eye'...that's the wonder of it all, take each day, live & love it to the full....
Yes 'Nelly" (his nic name!!) will hear it, this I know..
thank you, luv Wendy xxx

Hi there Wendy, after reading your post about Nelson it was touching. I too had a dog called Floyde who passed in June last year. He was bitten by 2 snakes one a tiger and the other a king brown. The vet had him 2 weeks and said he was baffled to how long he kept going. I posted a message on the healing requests and i had a good response from people sending Floyde healing at the same time. Me living in Australia i had to go on time between countries. After 2 weeks he was still alive and started drinking and i believed e was pulling through. One lunch time i felt i needed to come home from work and on that day he passed. I was s upset at the time i didnt use Reiki and thought why did my dog after go. Months have gone by and we have a new dog now who is very much like floyde. To cut the story short i feel like if Floyde didnt leave us i wouldnt be the more caring person i am today and my fondness for dogs has grown stronger. I a back on track now and started my self healing. Snake
