Reiki and other modalities

A few questions for all...

Do you practice other modalities, and if so do you integrate Reiki into them?
What have you noticed with integration?
What have your client’s responses been?

In addition to Reiki (Usui II), I do massage, acupressure, shiatsu, reflexology, aromatherapy, and touch for health.

I sometimes add in a couple of things I learned in basic pranic healing - the aura sweeping and localized cleansing techniques can really be helpful if an area is very congested and allows Reiki energy to penetrate more completely. But the rest of my treatment is done using Reiki techniques.

I believe the other healing modalities are good complements to Reiki, and if someone is trained to do them and can help faciliate a deeper healing process, all the better. Our bodies respond differently to stimulus and I see Reiki as aiding significantly with massage, chiropractic and other hands-on healing techniques. My chiropractor was so excited by my exploration into Reiki that she took Reiki I (will eventually take II) because she believes it will benefit her ability to faciliate her clients' healing process. As one of her clients, I wholeheartedly support her! :)

Hi there,

I use Reiki Drumming especially for group work.
The Reiki Energy appears to move quicker and the treatment appears to go deeper on people with sensitive natures: empaths/ intuitive people/telepaths or chronic pain also.

The drumming has calming affect when used as background music too. This however could be the Sedona Cd that I play It is drums with flutes too! I usually add a sending to this part and create interest in the energy and then add touch.

By interest, I mean a feeling of receptivity on the clients part.
