Hi Donna,
I wish you joy with your Reiki 2 attunements. This certainly brings you to a level of Reiki that you can legitimately offer Reiki to clients - but don`t be in too much of a rush - do allow the attunements to percolate through, and do practise every day. Think hard about how you will start your business with Reiki, assuming you do not already have a therapy business in operation. I see from your biography that this is very new to you. Please do not rush things, take your time. I see that you only took your Reiki 1 a few months ago. Have you been treating yourself, and friends and family on a daily basis?
If not, may I suggest that this should be the start, before you begin to think of using Reiki as a business in any way? To do justice to yourself, and to Reiki, you need to be totally confident with giving treatments, and all that may entail, before you even begin to think about charging people.
When you do get to feel confident with the energies, and you want to offer Reiki to people on a paying basis, then think carefully about how you will receive them, where you will treat them, will you use music/water feature/heating ... will you ask them if each of these is ok?
I hope your current reiki master can help you with all these issues. You will certainly need insurance ... if you email me privately, I will give you details of a reasonable insurance company in the UK - expect to pay around £50 per annum minimum, for £2,000,000 public liability insurance.
You will need to think about how much you are going to charge, and if you are treating animals, are you going to visit them in their own homes/farms/stables?
Treating both people and animals is an enormous responsibility, so do think through all the issues involved with great care before you begin. You say you have a science background, and that you need "proof". Do you have the "proof" and belief you need, to truly offer Reiki to others with an open heart.?
With love and light,
philanty
