annie,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- I, for one, stand with those who take in-person Reiki training, practices, and attunements
- I suspect there are others who take a dim view of any other type of Reiki initiation
- without training and practice with and attunements by a Teacher one cannot properly claim to be a Reiki
practitioner - period

Reiki attunement should be received directly from a master.
As nothing is impossible with Reiki-- so attunement by DVD cannot be completely ruled off. But could u be sure that you are getting a genuine attunement.
Why settle for the second fiddle. When you can have the best.
