The Reiki Cafe 

Ten days ago, I asked(in the Healing Requests section of the forum) for healing for a relationship. Thank you again to those who sent me Reiki.

Since then, it's been a rollercoaster. I 've been giving myself Reiki about it. Today during a self-healing session, I asked Reiki to cut my karmic ties with him. After that, I fell asleep for two hours(!) Now I feel a bit weird(you could say lightheaded tho not exactly) but other than that, pretty much the same.

I just wonder whether one can do that with Reiki. I mean cutting ties. Has anyone been succesful with such a request(true release etc)?

How would one know if karmic ties had been cut? No telling if a tie cut in this life will show up in another. This isnt my forte, but from what little I have gleaned from more educated sources, we do not have full understanding of these ties while living in the physical plane.

A declaration of intent, Reiki or not, does assist in letting go of a relationship. Making good on the intent is more involved.

I have never been sure "what" actually worked in these situations. There have been more than one avenue of assistance/help utilized & I really cant point to one thing with certainty & say that was it! Maybe it was a cumulative or collaborative process. Letting go does not happen overnight. But I have no idea how I would "know" if I had "fixed" karma.

Rollercoaster relationships have quite a wake. Geting off a rollercoaster leaves you feeling as if you are still on the rollercoaster!

I would phrase this differently. As there is no karma, I would say, I chose to cut my ties (whatever they are) with this person from my past. A good visualization of cutting with giant scissors works also. As to where reiki assists, I, too, do not know. Reiki assists you in your endeavors. It is YOU who cuts the cords. It is YOUR choice. without that, reiki could do nothing. Good for you in your choice.

- karmic ones are, I would say, of the rarer sort except to the extent one accumulates Karma while in a relationship with someone

- this Karma must be resolved in ways other than Reiki (unless one merits compassionate action by doing Reiki for others, for example

- each individual may only resolve his\her own Karma - effect compassioante changes in their behavior and learn to overcome 'grasping and aversion'.

- in the case of 'group' Karma all the individuals within that group (this can be an ethnic group, for example) must contribute to the resolution of the group's Karma before the Karma which attaches the individual to the group can be resolved

This is a deep question about what's possible to do in the universe and about your(our) understanding.The "cutting ties" implies that separation is wanted and possible.Oneness is not now ,but in a time yet to come!Is that true to you? If not, unity exists and relations are forever and the "cutting" evolves more to an entangeling/straitening/solving.

Sanning, I agree that we are all one. That does not mean that we all sap each other dry constantly either. Cutting cords with persons with whom we have had relationships in the past that are not resonable nor desired now can be severed quite easily by this simple method taught us in IPM. That severing does not keep us from being one. The relationships in oneness are pure, clear, whole. So sucking of energy.

I do not see any relationship of reiki in any of this.
