i still need a method to test if i have reiki or not :( help someone?

Somewhere, I did give you the answer. You must formulate your own test. I, too, did not believe I had guides when I first took the counseling to find out about them. Seven guides that I could not believe I had. After all, I was a professional, how could I believe in this nonsense. Nevertheless, as much as my intellect chided me about it, I knew then that I had them. I reasoned that if and when the day came that we were face to face with each other, I knew I would be embarrassed that they knew all that time, that I knew about them but just would not acknowledge them. So I made a test. It worked better when I was driving to a place that I did not have directions to. I drove to the next intersection, asked which direction, and followed the answers. they guided me right to the place. So I could not ignore them any longer. I just continued to find ways to test them over and over again. They never disappointed me. that is why I am adamant about this matter. I have been there.

Most people who are leaders have to do this. A leader has to lead from within themselves, within their inner wisdom. It is impossible to lead others, if one has to stop and read directions for the next step!

You obviously are a leader of men. You must gain this for yourself.

but about the guides.. how did you contact your guides?

why do you mean i am obvously a leader? you mean everybody is a leader?

I have sent you a meditation to contact your guide(s). Regarding a test whether you have reiki or not - stop worrying - every day in many ways confirmation of your reiki energy will come through. These will build up until you will no longer have to question it - the evidence will overwhelm the doubts - just look for it. It is worth keeping a journal - this allows you to clearly write down what you have felt, and also to check back where you started - this then demonstrates your progress (this is a spiritual journey after all). I paste a short piece from my journal (one of many) that occured in the early days - it is not meant for publication - just as an example - and for many will fell most familiar:

"I’ve had to have a double hernia repaired. During the visit for the pre-op checkup I was taken to a room by a nurse. Naturally I told her about reiki. During the checkup reiki turned on by itself, so I knew someone was in need. When she went to get a doctor to take some blood I scanned around to see what I could sense, and saw a man in the next room with a bad leg. I told the nurse that the man was in need of some attention, but I think she ignored it as ramblings of a madman.
The operation went ok, and I treated all the pain with reiki managing to avoid painkillers totally.
When getting ready to leave I bumped into the nurse again, and she said ‘By the way, you were right about the man’, having had no confirmation that there was a man I asked ‘the man with the dodgy leg?’ and she said ‘ yes – but that was not it – shortly afterwards he had a heart attack’. Happy to have seen that man and leg, and had it confirmed I now need to work on being more precise about the cause of the need, but I was terribly happy that I had been right, and all through a wall."

These are occuring all the time - just learn to listen.

Hi,

There is a specific meditation for Reiki which Dr Usui taught his students. If practised daily it strengthens the Reiki channel and helps you focus on the Reiki energy. It is called Hatsurei-ho. I will post a link to the meditation for you and anyone else who is interested at the resources board.

Hi,

How were you attuned? Have you ever given a full Reiki treatment? Find a teaching reiki Master and ask if you can do full Reiki treatment for him\her. Only by doing Reiki with someone else will you be able to 'test' yourself. Hands-on Reiki with others is the single best way to open and enhance your connnection the the greater flow of energy.

Yes - RC is correct - working on an experienced subject will allow some good feedback. I remember that after attunement the 'feelings' of energy came and went a bit, and before each treatment I gave I would check it was still there (it always was) - now I trust it and simply *know* it works, this comes with expeience.
The question of how you were attuned is important....

Can you not see the generality in an example? How I tested myself re: guides is how you can find a way to test yourself re: reiki. Use you imagination!

I have given you this already. Do you really read? I am guessing, however, my guesses are usually right on the button. You sound like a fire person. Fire people are natural born leaders. If you are not that, then my gues about you is wrong. Maybe you simply do not cogitate.

Yes, I have to agree. Getting feedback was essential at first. I found, that even on skeptics, who would not be affected by a placebo effect, would report feelings of relaxation and well-being.

I must say, I still have some doubts....probably not so much doubting Reiki, but my own habit of doubting myself. Not only is saying "How do you feel?" a good way of getting feedback, it also openst the conversation for the client to discuss anything that came up in the session that they have questions about.

when i have given reiki to people but i havent for long because i am afraid of gibving reiki for free and i also dont want to get paid for something i dont know i have or not..

-people havent felt anything
- i dont feel anything
- i have been in a weekend course for reiki 1 and have diploma of usui's reiki system
- i wasnt told that there was a meditation for it
- i have gone arround WITHOUT RESULT OR FEELING touching my body arroudn the hospitall .. probably looking even more stupid .

For Reiki to work, you really do have to give it sufficient time, whether you believe you have it or not. Are you giving full body treatments and giving at least five minutes to each position? That's what you really need to do.
