shamas,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- I know a couple of people who are properly ordained ministers and priests who are Reiki 2
- if that is what you mean
- if you mean Reiki Priest? Or Reiki Minister? Well, I would say someone just made that up - quackery of a sort
- the foundations of Reiki may have underpinnings in Buddhism and Shinto but being a lama or Shinto Priest are quite separate disciplines that have no direct connection to Reiki (and vise versa)

Yikes! Those are two words I have a hard time seeing together. No one I'm aware of in any Reiki lineage has had the chutzpah to call themselves a "Reiki priest" or "Reiki reverend".
I spend a great deal of energy telling audiences that Reiki is NOT a religion.
My teacher is a Reverend, but not of Reiki. Reiki is a practice, and we are all students. We do not need a church to sanctify Reiki or our practice of it.
I deeply ask your forgiveness if this is an overreaction to a casual question. I'm wired and up too late!
Blessings,
Aronaya
