helen,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- lucid dreaming is largely to work on oneself though practicing the skill can help when one is in the astral realms while asleep - or even when one does astral work from the 'waking state'
- it is always possible that some with psychiatric difficulties, substance addictions, chronic illnesses, etc may be affected by attachements of one sort or another
- but it would not be wise to blame attachements as a cause in all these matters - contributory to already existing problems or pre-dispositions would be, in my opinion, a more manageable way to consider the matter
- and, of course, once one feels an 'entity' is involved one must be able to identify it as well as possible (or have someone else do it) and then map out a strategy to deal with it
- there are a multitude of practices that may be useful in clearing attachements from where they are not wanted - and not all practices work with all entities

- yes, the speaker (she or he) always does well to take care that there is awareness of projection
- edit functions are great for this

Hi R.C.
I communicate with many of the entities themselves. You may want to read a book by Wanda Pratnicka Called 'possessed by ghosts", google it.
As for those of you that are having a pissing contest ,I suggest you read "the four agreements"

Firekeeper,
Namaste :))
I would certainly not be experienced in either identifying an entity or knowing how to deal with it....truth be told it would probably frighten the wits out of me :)) Best leave that to those that know what they are doing :)

Dear FK,
Namaste!
Well at least that is saying they have a soul as maybe some do not or have one that is very fragmented.
thanks for your reply,

Firekeeper,
Namaste...
Popping in to say a quick hello and spotted your comment about the libraries...
...so odd you mention this as one of the first things I'm drawn to when I enter someone's home is the books I see laying about and on the shelves.
Sometimes, however, one sees more than one wishes.
Not to suggest anything "suggestive".

firekeeper,
on the other hand, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar...and if i ever feel the need to use the edit function, rest assured i shall. ;-)
in a word, yes; and something also unpleasant in the previously cited string of descriptors.
hobbyhorse, windhorse, skateboard, drum, whatever suits you ...all forms of convenience (and attachments thereto) must eventually be relinquished, or thus have i heard...
au 'voir,
goldenisis

southguy,
Hi,
I will certainly give Wanda a look-see. Thanks.
Contacting entities is a rather personal experience and sometimes a bit difficult to share with or relate to others in any sort of direct, meaningful fashion; a bit like a shaman trying to explain shamanic journey to someone who has not done it themselves. Entities are also of a wide variety with a concommitent variety of agendas and 'voices'.
:)
Minor aside: someone(s) is\are having a pissing contest? Who, pray tell? If so, hopefully the deed is into the wind and not down wind in our direction. lol
Cheers,
RC

My dearest MammaBear,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- always a joy to see you here
- yes, we do seem to have some 'common connections'
>:-}}
- some years ago we toured Biltmore House. It has the most remarkable library I have ever been in - at least two stories worth of shelves, I would guess at least 1600 square of floor space, spiral stairs to get to the second level, etc, etc. I would have paid $$$ to be able to sleep in that cavernous room but no one would take the bribe.

Firekeeper,
Namaste...
The joy is mine to be sure... :-)
I googled Biltmore House and wow...I can see what you mean. I may have to try your trick somewhere one day. It intrigues me terribly! LOL
Expecting severe weather here again tomorrow. Hail, high winds and yes rain up to 2" predicted. Sure wish I could send some of this westward...
Gentle blessings to you and your clan...and cafe...
...and planet, for that matter.

southguy,
'the four agreements?' gawd stone the crows. that was actually assigned reading in a class i took; it was presented as an example of...well, it was something unflattering. i suppose my initial cynicism about it is further fueled by the subsequent proliferation of 'four agreements' day planners, calenders, study books, and so on. [damn, but those things multiply worse than fluffy bunnies!]
as far as pissing contests per se? well, for example, i've never encountered anything i would describe as a 'ghost' according to your definition. do i try to tell you that, because your experiences/beliefs don't happen to jibe with mine, that you're ignorant, wilfully perverse, or indulging in wishful thinking? i attempted to suggest that there just might be a bit more to think about (gee, kinda sounds like attempting to stimulate further considerations of the nature of reality...hmmmm.) it would seem, however, that i'm the only one here with an experience of spirit of place/devas/etc., let alone the concept of forms of convenience, among other things. odd, what?
in closing, one might say it is preferable to witness a pissing contest (incidentally, my old granny taught me some interesting tricks about those, including how to do it standing up...and i'm pretty tall...) than to have someone pissing down your neck while trying to tell you it's raining.
;-)
bright blessings; hail eris!

goldenisis,
hi,
You said, in part: "....to have someone pissing down your neck while trying to tell you it's raining." I have heard there is some sort of fetish associated with that particular behavior. lol
As to deva? An interesting assortment of enities depending on one's tradition: Tibetan lha: Chinese tiān: Korean cheon; Japanese ten. This is not to mention its New Age (I cringe each time I use that term) use as a spirit force behind some aspects of nature. I especially enjoy communing with the devas of my herb garden (and there is nothing new age about it).
lol
Cheers,
RC

Dear goldenisis,
What I was suggesting was that some members had started making assumtions and were taking things personally. As for the "fluffy Bunnies" I agree.
As to your Question, I did not suggest anything of the sort.

goldenisis,
Hi,
Yes, once upon a time there was a Bear who, feeling it actually knew something and rather than doing its business in the woods, brought it here.
lol
Be that as it may.
I speak only for myself despite your uninspired and misguided pique. If one posts here one must accept that maybe someone will read the post and respond. If one is not willing to take the chances that come with paying the money then perhaps it might be better spent elsewhere.
If we take others as fair game we must be willing to be fair game ourselves.
Cheers,
RC

Otoharo!
As I was not around on the day you posted this, I will answer now. I had training in Astro-Soul program of Francisco Coll back in the 70's and 80's. We learned how to do trance healing as a method of healing the confusion of a soul and assist it to go to the light. Each of us has at least one guide who stays with us even after death if we are so confused that we do nmot rememeber dying. This guide we see as a light. That light will take us home if we will follow it.
I have enjoyed reading this whole thread today.
