Hi. I just recently got attuned to Reiki. My teacher isn't supportive enough and she keeps forgetting to answer some of my questions. So I'm trying to get some answers. I'd appreciate it if any Reiki practitioner could answer any or all of my questions at their earliest convienience. My questions are:
1) What does "Love and Light" mean when people put in their emails before signing their name?
Answer for me it personaly means Love & Light are the same we are all beings of light, only love exists Reiki is Love sent from source, source is love vice versa, the two are the same a very high vibration of light everything exists is light. Einstein said that Matter ie stuff that the universe is made up from is just lower vibration of light"
2) When I send people distance Reiki can I listen to any kind of music I want (like for example Jazz, soft rock, pop,etc) or does it have to be "New Age" music?
Will the music I listen to affect the flow of Reiki?
*Also, can I send remote Reiki while watching tv?

I don't feel that it matters as long as you concentrate, meditate on the energy and send it from the heart it will be stronger you are a channel for the energy but Reiki will flow no matter what you are doing but it is best to concentrate on who or where you are sending it to.
3) How do I send Reiki to myself and other people for
24 hours?
Answer
Charge a crystal and put it in your box underneth a picture or a name written on paper. Crystal on top.
Give the box Reiki for 10-15mins each day.
Review after three days.
Is there anything I should say or do to activate it? Will it be channeled through me for 24 hours or will it go directly to the recipients?

What level are you and what attuments where you given symbols etc. Until i know this i cannot say if you are able.
(My teacher never talked about this but I've had other practitioners do this for me after my treatment.)
4) Will my hands always feel hot or warm now that I'm
attuned to Reiki or will it go back to normal
temperature?
Answer
Phenomina is usually experienced in Reiki hot or cold, cold is usually metal emotional it is not importannt to focus on phemonina as human biengs we love phenomina, what is important is to focus on where and why you are sending Reiki "From the heart" thats what Mother Meera says everything comes from the heart. Sometimes i feel nothing other times i have felt swirls of heat rising from my palms its not important nice but not important.
5) When I do remote Reiki, is the amount of energy I
send to people and/or myself the same if I send it for
10 minutes, 30 minutes or an hour? In other words,
will people benefit more if I send the Reiki energy
for 1 hour or is it the same if it's 10 minutes?

Reiki does not recognise time as time does not exists. It is important however to put the effort in its about disciplinbe, 15-20 mins is enough I have been taught that way but who is to say 15-20 mins you could have three distants to do 20 mins is enough. Give Thanks after each time.
6) For a hands on treatment, my teacher only listed 12 hand positions (1. eyes 2. temples 3. back of head 4. throat 5. heart 6. solar plexus 7.abdomen 8. pelvic region 9. top of shoulders 10. shoulder blades 11. lower back-kidneys 12. tailbone), but she didn't list where to put the hands on the feet or the ankles. So how would I apply that correctly and in what sequence? I remember when I received a hands on treatment from another practitioner, she put her hands on my feet and ankles. That's why I asked.
* Also, how long do I lay my hands on the recipient for each position?

Stick with the 12 positions until you develop a more inutive feel with Reiki, Reiki will guide as you grow.
Ask it it will be given.
7) I have trouble understanding when you send Reiki energy to people how does it also benefit you and heal you? Will I receive the same amount of energy I send out or parts of it, how does that work?
Answer
Time doesn't exist you can send it into the past use it in the present and send it to a future event.
Reiki will go to what ever is most needed, rather that the ulcer or the toothache if mental or emotioonal or spiritua, physical need is formost then Reiki will go there remember you do not direct Reiki, you are a channel not a guide Reiki knows best.
8) For a remote treatment, do I have to hold the papers (names of the recipient and the symbols) between my palms for the WHOLE session in order for the energy to flow properly or can I just lay my hands over it?
* Also, if I have to interrupt the session by using the bathroom for instance, do I have to start over by activating the symbols and saying everything 3 times again or do I continue where I left off?

I have been taught to draw the sybols with my power / fire finger. Names one person at a time.
I always do, good question time doesn't exist but i feel a certain respect so i do.
