Hi everyone,

It has been a very long time since I have been to the cafe, its great to see I recognise some familiar names...

I have a question...

My mum has been diagnosed with rectosigmoid cancer... I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with cancer patients especially those with colorectal cancer...

I work a lot with cancer patients, I find visualisation good, you could p.m. for more details..

I haven't worked with that particular type of cancer. But following are some things on which I set intent when working on cancer patients generally: clear excess and stagnant energy from the area of the cancer; support the immune system; strengthen healthy tissue and alleviate side-effects of allopathic treatment.

- all cancers are tricky in many ways

- I always stress that one needs to do a good self-cleansing after working directly with patients

- in a good cleansing I would include but not limit myself to a good smudging of oneself afterwards and a good tub soak in hot water laced with 1 cup sea salt

- if one is doing regular distance work with a cancer patient I suggest that you smudge yourself well after the work

- for smudging of this sort I prefer copal but white sage is excellent as would be a 3:1 mixture of Myrrh and Frankincense

- as for where to place the hands or focus one's distance mindfulness?? The Thymus and the rest of the immune system as well as any lesions and surgical sites, Tanden, and Heart Centre
