Hi honey,
I'll post some links on the resources board for prescription assistance.
Family is always a good support system. Maybe they can help take some of the 'weight' off of her shoulders by pitching in and doing small things. If everyone does one thing a lot gets done without anyone feeling overwhelmed or abused.
Just suggestion, hopefully this is already being done. :-)
Also, keep looking for assistance. It has been my experience that many agencies aren't always forthcoming about what assistance is available. Whether this is lack of communication amongst the staff or a fear of overextending budgets I can't say but have found that government agencies aren't always the best place to ask about government services. :-))
Look in places you wouldn't ordinarily think of looking. Are there local senior centers? Sometimes they have classes or other recources, or knowledge, that while focused on the elderly can still help stear a person in a direction where help can be found. Maybe a service where medical equipment is traded or sold on consignment would know of some programs or agencies that could help? Private organizations that work with the needy are often good places to look for some help since they may have more information on services available both public and private.
Hope some of this is helpful
Walk in beauty,
Rebecca
