Reiki and bullies

HI folks,
Help me understand something. How do you use reiki to protect yourself from bullies. I am speaking about female bullies. I work at a school where believe it or not the special ed dept head is a bully. She is not my supervisor. The ironic thing is she just organized a no names calling seminar about the very subject. It seems she is trying to address the very thing that she does, we see this in children why can't we see it in our adult behavior.I honestly don't believe that she thinks she is a bully.
What strategies or tactics can one use besides standing up for yourself to stay away from or parry off this behavior.
Please share your thoughts.Thanks !!

Dear Eirelassy,
It just goes to show, that we teach what we need to know. Maybe this seminar will help her learn or open her eyes to her own behavior. Especially if you use what she has done as an example of bullying without saying it's her, or not. We can't control people yet the Sei Hi ki 2 - removing chaotic and traumatic energy on yourself may help. I was dealing with DCFS and talk about bullying caseworkers. Yuck.
peace,
Prosperity

eirelassey,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- bullies come in all sizes, shapes, and modes

- a key factor is bullies persist because they are reinforced often enough for their bad behavior when others give way

- this is especially important in situations where the bully has no real power or authority over (in this case you)

- bullying supervisors and bosses are another class of folks - careful trodding and perhaps discrete fact gathering for a formal complaint to higher-ups can be fruitful (and also comes with some risk, of course)

- but for those everyday bully-types??

- for example, ever seen someone (whether really in a hurry or not) pull right up on the bumper of the car in front to get them to drive faster? That is a form of bullying

- some weeks ago, for example, I was driving the speed limit on a four-track road here on the way home - a pick-up truck with a young couple in it raced up and lodged themselves right on my bumper even though they had a lane to pass me if they wished

- I did not speed up - and, looking in my rear view morror I could see the driver smiling - so it appeared they were just being asses

- one way to discopurage this is to turn the headlights on and off quickly - this also flashes the tail lights, of course, and gives the impression one is hitting the brakes - when I did this the driver fell back briefly but resummed his tail-gaiting

- finally after about a mile or so he gave up and drove around me

- also, to show you what sort of jerks there are out and about - a couple of years ago a local physician wrote a letter to the editor or our largest daily rag and blamed the other driver for the fact that he got a ticket for tailgaiting - said that if the guy in front had driven faster............

- blimey!!!

>:-}}

- the morale? Don't be bullied. If self Reiki helps you with assertiveness? Fine. But I don't think Reiki can be used as a 'shield' in the way I think you are suggesting

- hope this helps

Firekeeper

Dear Eirelassy,
Just for today...

Bullying has its foundations in fear and worry. If you do not worry and respond clearly and without anger, while treating others with respect you cannot be bullied.

Love

Chris

That is very true.

Also recommend a study of Aikido and its approach to conflict -- the finest, most subtle and powerful art I have seen yet (perhaps because I haven't seriously practiced Tai Chi).

Blessings,
