What is Reiki?

Otoharo!

The controvercy over whether reiki II and reiki III are more powerful reiki than reiki I, comes down to the question, What is reiki after all? Reiki is energy. You can not do anything to reiki. Thus you can not increase its strength. Nothing can. The only thing we can do is let more of it in. Or let it in in a different way. What we change is in ourselves not the energy of reiki. If it happened that you only had reiki I available to you, you would have all of reiki, forever.

What is electricity? Electricity is an energy. The difference between 110 and 220 is the size of the conduit. 110 electricity is the same electricity as 220. Just more of it.

Even the fact that reiki II addresses emotional factors is not a different reiki, it is that you open up to these factors.

I had a hunch when I posted that someone was going to question this. I do not mean to say that reiki and electricity are the same energy. Reiki is a much higher finer vibratory rate than likely anyother energy. What I mean to point out is that electricity is measured by the size of its conduit. Reiki is also measure () by the size of the conuit, the practitioner. That is the nature of all energy. Energy is. Reiki is. Reiki never changes itself nor can anything else change reiki. So all we do in giving reiki classes does not change reiki. It is the students of reiki classes who either assume for themselves or else are taught that to get more reiki means to take the next level of class. That is what is eroneous.

finality,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- I would suggest that, if anything, it is the Practitioner that is somehow "measured" by the energy he\she has the mindfulness and intention to parlay

>:-}}

- so, one view is that it is the development of mindfulness and intention that are useful guides to advancing in the levels of Reiki (or other enegy disciplines as well)

- discipline(s) being key

>:-}}

- and, I would say one cannot measure ULE - afterall, we may generate (and regulate) electricity but we do not do either vis a vis ULE

If I may step in here, for a moment...

I was taught (and believe) that as we advance in the levels we do not "get" more Reiki, but that we are a more open channel for it. If we are a more open channel, then more Reiki can pass through.

Roxy

While we are on this topic, I would like to share some recent learnings. We are able now to feel the vibratory changes of earth's energy. Can you? It seems that more reiki is getting through to us. If we allow ourselves and as FK keeps reminding us, increasing our mindfulness to recive more and more. It seems the energy workers are like towers that catch reiki energy and bring it in through themselves so that more of it is readily available to us. It feels to me like drinking deeply of refreshing newness of some sort.

Ms. Roxanne,

/*\ namaste :-}}

- so, if you become more open to Reiki (and other energy) and ask for distance Reiki, would you not then be likely to get more energy??

- however, the degree to which one (in this case you) is able to utilize all that energy to one's own (in this case your own) benefit is another matter, of course

A bit more...

Is all energy discussed in the various energy healing modalities created equal…sotospeak?

Does ULE encompass various kinds of energy that have various intensities (or frequencies,strengths,power)?

Some of the energy healing modalities promise higher frequencies. Is it true that some energy healing modalities do deliver higher frequencies, strengths, power?

A little less (but not much) in earnest resplen. :-o

Reiki I is reiki, all of reiki. What changes to get more power is us. We release old stuff, clear concepts and open up to more of reiki. Reiki does not know that we think there is more yet to come from reiki. It is all available the moment we can open to it!
