The Reiki Cafe 

My spiritual path has taken a few interesting turns lately.
Some I was prepared for, some have take me totally by surprise.

I've been thinking about studying Reiki. I've had guidance from my angels regarding this. At first it was a gentle nudging, now it's more like an insistant shove, they won't leave me alone. I'm planning to take a week-end intensive,
Reiki I and II and take it from there.

I sought out a discussion forum to get more guidance and advice on what I can do to prepare myself before I take these classes. I will probably take them on Feb. 17 and 18 of 2007.

I was happy to find a forum dedicated to Reiki and hope to learn as much as I can.

Hi Ladyehawk,
No path runs straight and in reiki there will be many surprises. R1 and R2 together can be a lot to fully take in but if that is how you feel guided to do it - go for it. Make sure you get enough time to do a lot of self helaing - it is a very important part of R1.

Thanks for the good advice. I've been guided by wiser heads to take Reiki 1 first and then wait about 6 months to take Reike 2. I think I'll go with that. I plan on taking
Reiki 1 after the holidays.

Great blessings for your beginning with Reiki!

To fully absorb and integrate the experience, I recommend as much time off as you can afford right after the class. Use the time to listen to yourself in whatever settings speak to your soul.
