Namaste All,

I was talking to a Reiki Master the other day, who believes that all Reiki Guides are of Native American origin....does everyone agree with this?

Also, do we also have Guides that have nothing to do with Reiki, alongside our Reiki Guides?

Just wondered what everyone thinks?

Hi Helen,

All of our guides appear to us in a form which is comfortable, and means something to us. For me, they are not all Native American.

We all have teacher guides. The number depends on what we are here to accomplish/learn. I do have one, who is my grandfather... who is Native American. The others, have many other forms, including angelic.

It seems to me that if that IS what your master thinks they all are, it is a bit narrow. After all, why would anyone who is of asian, or african descent be seeing in that form?
Many other cultures have formed very grounded, spiritual communities as have the Native American people.....

I don't believe all guides are Native American. Actually, none of my guides are. So I would have to say I disagree with what that Master said :) Perhaps all of his or her guides are though.

Also, I do have guides that have nothing to do with Reiki as well. They have been with me for a long time prior to being attuned. They typically do not intervene with any of my Reiki practices.

My guide (s) havent really revealed themselves to me...or if they did I was too ignorant to see them...so Im far from being experienced in this subject, but my gut response to your question is:

Sometimes our own limitations of knowledge & experience get in the way, sometimes we see what we want to see.

To me, this sounds like a projection of the very human quality of exclusion onto a nonhuman. Hopefully, spirit is beyond our human weaknesses.

Anyway, who knows, maybe we all live as a Native American in human or spirit form, at one time or another?

So........... in one sense all Guides are Native American

-- All Guides are also Tibetan, or Indian, or Chinese, or Latino, or celtic

Yes this makes sense to me that we may have all lived as many different cultures at one time or another.

I have been told about my Reiki guide, but he hasn't revealed himself to me other than letting me know that he is there by a sensation around my head and shoulders, which I find very comforting :)

I think it's only we three-dimensional think about energies and guides as of Reiki or non-Reiki. At the level we're guided from I think it's all much more unified. Higher consciousness doesn't perceive itself as separate being, so how can it be Reiki or non-Reiki? Simply Reiki helps us feel our guides and communicate with them more freely.

Yes, it is a good experience to walk in another's moccasins...too bad we cant remember what it is like to live in another culture....
I know nothing about my guides & have accepted that this is in my best interests, some things are better off not knowing until the time is right...

in that case we would only need one. All the information is that they are specialists.... YES, in fact they can all do what the others do. There is no lack. In actuality, from what I have read, there are those spirits that are with the reiki energy more than other spirits. Just as there is a 'tree' consciousness, that does not work with 'cactus' consciousness, there is a universal consiousness that is over those as well as the others on the planet... :-)

"Cactus consciousness" - wow! :) I'll meditate on that.
What is vaguely and slowly takes the form in my mind, is the thought that Reiki is not an energy at all. You know, the Master of my Master sais that Reiki is somrthing about what we totally don't understand. As for me, I'm slowly coming to conclusion that Reiki is something that realizes itself thru energy, it is something that opens the door into Universe. After Reiki attunments I can communicate with very different guides from different traditions. One my friend heals people with The Holy Spirit, reading Christian prayers and putting hands on the patient's head. She's also Reiki I and sais, that she feels no difference in sensations of Reiki and The Holy Spirit.
I by myself sometimes take cleansing prayer sessions communicating with different energies of Christian spectrum and I feel tha it's Reiki, that helps any energy to flow thru my body.
I think this explains a little my point of view on Reiki and non-Reiki guides.

Sure 'cactus consciousness', its a bit prickly, and you have to watch out for it, but it exists!

REiki may not be properly described as 'energy'. I think people have been trying to describe it for centuries with little success. Keep meditating. When you find the proper words for it, if there are actual words which CAN describe it, we would be very interested in knowing! Until then I will stick to my different guides, and cactus conscioiusness!

perhaps we can recall that reiki is the name given to the "practice" of facilitating the flow of energy to a willing recipient.

the "energy" is the Universal Essence -

Christian is a Mask just as is Judaism, Hinduism, etc.

The man began to ask and Buddha said: right now I can't give you a reply, but if you'll sit here near me for a one year, I will. The man aggreed. At that moment Buddha's disciple who sit aside of him began to laugh loudly. The man asked: "Why are you laughing, what's going on?" And the disciple said:"He cheats you as he cheated me. After a year your guestions will vanish away, it'll be nothting to ask."

So if one day you'll hear my laughing somewhere in the Universe, I think it will be the moment I'll get the notion what is Reiki.

This night I saw the stars and was astonished how big is the sky...
