My husband and Reiki ...

Hi again.

I have been doing Reiki on my hubby occasionally (I didn't own a table, and working on the bed was killing my back), and have noticed a marked decrease in the energy flow in his body.

I got a table last week and gave him another treatment, and well ... next to no energy. I got a 'glimmer' of energy movement in his head, but nothing in the rest of his body. This is unusual for me as I am accustomed to feeling the flow with whomever I'm working on.

Any opinions here? My feeling is that his energy is so blocked and 'stuck' because he works tons (80-90 hour weeks) and doesn't sleep well (sleeps great on the nights I work on him, though), and so his body is in a state of complete imbalance.

Any info/opinions/anything would be great. I am very worried about this.

Thanks
PaganMom

paganmom,

- has your husband commented at all about anything he has noticed different when you have been doing Reiki?

- if your back is killing you perhaps at least some of the energy flow issue is with you??

Hi Firekeeper.

Actually, now that I have a table and have it set to the highest setting, my back is fine!! Yay!!

The first time I worked on him a few months back, he felt some movement and so did I -- his hand went cold, his feet ached, he saw colours, etc. This time, the only thing he felt was his feet ached a bit.

On top of that, I didn't feel any movement this time ... except for the small glimmer of energy in his head. I got nothing ... not even in his knees which are normally a big energy swirl.

I asked him to tell me if he felt anything and all he felt was his feet aching. Nothing else. I asked a few times, and nothing.

I'm seriously concerned.

Hopefully after my axiatonal course this weekend I will be able to open up some of the pathways. He just FEELS so stuck.

he's seriously out of balance. He works WAY too much, and sleeps WAY too little. Never a good combination. Add to that the fact that he's nearing 40, doesn't work out (no time to) and eats 'on the fly'. All of this is seriously worrying me.

I wish he could just quit his job, but his income is our main income and his industry is just like this ... especially in Toronto.

Any help appreciated.

- I assume that you will receive an "alignment" yourself as part of learning to do them??

- once you are "aligned" you might try Reiki with your husband before exposing him to the alignment - might prove to be a useful experiment

- I know some balancing practices but the one you will learn I know nothing about

That's an interesting idea. Maybe what I'll do is give him a Reiki treatment, and see what his energy is doing at that time.

Then, the next day, give him an Axiatonal Alignment followed by a Reiki treatment, and see if there is a change.

I will be receiving alignments myself, and actually will be working toward my teaching certificate for it. I am very excited to see what i experience. I had a Reiki treatment with the teacher last week, and it was incredible.

I'll be doing my second level with this teacher next month, and she practices differently than my first level teacher, so it should be fascinating.

Will make a point of responding once I've done my little 'experiment' with my hubby. If all else fails, I am going to take him to the Reiki Master and see what she has to say about it.

:-)

thank you for your posts, and such a good idea for the before and after Reiki.

Be well,
PaganMom

- yes, I would be interested in your experience (and your husband's) with Reiki after your alignments (but before his)

- enjoy the classes

PaganMom, Firekeeper, is there any possiblity that the connection between husband & wife is too close....as in being one?
