The Reiki Cafe 

I would like to introduce myself to the forum. I was introduced to Reiki 5 years ago and after going through levels 1 and 2 was attuned to Master level 3. My Master has since died so I now have no one to refer to for answers!

After being daily consistent with my self-healing and healing others my interest waned due to work and have not been practising as I know I should. I have recently retired as an opera singer in the Stuttgart Chorus having worked in Germany for the past 13 years although I am English. I still continue to perform as a guest in various opera houses since retirement from what I love would be a death knell for me! While I remain healthy and in good voice why not!

Since I have not been doing Reiki regularly would my healing not be as strong as before? Maybe someone can tell me? At the beginning when I started healing regularly I just had to think Reiki and the energy just flowed, it was quite amazing. Now I don't feel that the power is as strong, does that mean that I need to have my signs renewed somehow?

It has been my observation that the Reiki flows just as strong even when we do not "feel" that it is. I have given many treatments where I "felt" little energy flow and then later the recipient reports profound experiences and healing. I think that we can can become acclimated to the feel of the enegry......much like we do sound and temperature.

Thanks for that Blackearth, so since I have not been channel for healing in a the best part of a year my attunements will still be there and working for me when I call upon them?

All you have to do is ask it to flow. Practice, mindfulness/intention yields assurance and more powerful healings of which you will be more aware of.

I've found that like any skill....the more we use it, the more aware and focused we are. And some believe that the Reiki is in each and every one of us....we could never lose it....but just forget to use it. The Universe certainly needs every being possible sharing Reiki.
