Entitled to a refund?

My Reiki healer has contradicted herself.

At the start she said that I needed to have regular healing sessions because if I stop then I will revert back to square one.

Then, having dumped me, because I was making her ill, she says I will have made some progress and that I would not go backwards.

So, can one revert back to square one? Also, if so, am I entitled to a refund because some weeks have elapsed since my last healing session (I have yet to find another therapist) and therefore wonder if I have wasted my money. It's not my fault that she could not protect herself.

Otoharo!

I hardly know what to say to you. In the first place, in my view, she should not have made the original statement. No one can. No one knows what a person will do with this energy. To embark on this profect, it was her responsibility to know her own energy well enough to predict being able to follow through.

As for you, simply look for someone else. Reiki is worth it if you are getting benefit from it. A hunk of my income goes toward this therapy and healing. Best investment I ever made.

My Reiki master instructed me that when you give a treatment you are also giving yourself a treatment. I don't understand how it is possible that you made her ill. It would appear to me that she isn't very knowledgeable or well trained. I am sorry that you had a negative experience but don't let that deter you from seeking out another practitioner.

katswhiskers,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- it sounds as if you are laboring under the impression that she (as the person providing the healing sesssions) is supposed to heal you (if this is not your view please accept what I have to say next as preaching to the choir)

>:-}}

- it is, essentially, up to you to use the energy brought into the sessions to heal yourself (she cannot heal you)

- is it her problem that she does not protect herself properly? Yes!!!

- is it your responsibility to work to keep your junk to yourself?? Yes, I feel it is.

- can she say she would rather not continue sessions with you? Yes!!

- are you entitled to a refund? Based on what you say here I would say no.

- if you feel she is a fraud then you can ask for a refund and seek out another practitioner - but don't hold your breath about receiving anything back except quick directions to the door

- as to what she said about progress or sliding back?? I wasn't there so cannot comment

- hope this helps

Healing comes in many forms and in many areas. We can heal body, mind, and spirit. We can use energy, food, changes in thought patterns, stones, water, plants, and prayer to heal. Always, we can revert to square one if we return to unhealthy thought patterns and unhealthy ways of living.

It was not for the Reiki practitioner to say that stopping treatments would cause reversal. It would have been propere to say that healing the whole self takes time.......dare I say, A life time. It is always our choice to continue healing or to revert back to our old ways.

As for making you ill, either this person was not good at keeping her energy system seperate or it is possible that your energies conflicted. We have all met people we just cannot stand to be around. They can be real good people. Our energies just do not mix well. Still, it was up to the practitioner to keep the energies seperate.

Reiki is a lifetime healing. Maybe you should look into learning Reiki.

Firstly Reiki is an ongoing process and will in fact continue working through you daily, it is energy, energy is all around us everywhere, it is good to go for treatments, but remember, that your thinking patterns and way of life, will result in how many treatments you actually need. From your first treatment you have accepted reiki into your life, let IT help you, and I dont believe you will start at square one again, i am sure you have evolved a great deal from when you have first started, reiki, cannot be reversed.
