The Master disappeared (poof)

What do you do (trying not to panic) when your teacher disappears? Mine did not allow apron strings to form. And now.....I can't even find her to call. Like I said (POOF).

I guess I have relied on this this quite a bit to answer questions and such. It is just......mmmm...disturbing. Abandonment.

I know she wanted to start a business on her own and not do Reiki in association with the hospital. In fact, she offered me her job doing Reiki classes after I got my Master/Teacher certificate. I was just tooooooo new and I politely refused. I would have liked to, but it would not have been fair to the students. I was still a student myself. But, what an opportunity!!

At times I feel dumped. Then I pick up my pail and shovel and go play in the sand some more. Mulling over what exactly am I supposed to be doing with my life.

Looks like that opportunity has come back around again. I didn't refuse this time. And, I have all you guys and all your knowledge that you so graciously share.

But, the disappearing Teacher still bugs me!

ahhhhh, birdy, we never like impermanence, do we...I think you're being very wise admist missing your teacher...that is an honor to her...and I know that you want only the best for her....as she would for you. I remember my first master desired to teach only one way....the traditional way...we're still good friends, but I moved on to a less traditional master...one who lives far away and I never talked to, again.
Not wrong....each just different. I've attuned several folk and some are good friends....some I've never seen, again. I just wanted to be able to give Reiki as a tool for self healing....what those folk did with it from there was completely up to them. Sorry, rambling here. I love your heart, birdy.

To Chinese, when we learn something we will ask a teacher to guide us , but when we are ready to go on our own , our teacher will kick our butt too......

Chinese always said: We teaches our students to walk on their own , not helping them to walk......After they knew how to walk , they should go on and run , don't come back for us for any skills, cause you already mastered what I knew, is time for you to run......

Maybe in westen is kind of rare, but is still possible......But I don't really agree in trading Reiki Skill with money......To me, I really wanted to teach my students and not taking their money......(but my teacher don't agree with me , he said: Hey buddy you got to eat right, and you need money for a living right?)

So.......maybe different human being got a different mind set......but maybe is a good news for you , as you should learnt how to walk on your own......

Otoharo!

The function of the fee is for the receiver. Paying opens him/her to receive.

I have definitely decided that although I don't want to charge I will ask the student to put what the class is worth to them in an envelope and that's that. I will not open the envelope until after the class. I don't even want to know who gave the envelope. I will leave the outcome to someone more experienced.

This has been troubling me a bit. Thank you to whoever posted this particular method. I appreciate it. One problem down, 199 to go.

In respect to becoming independent of my Teacher. That I did, but there were times when I had legit questions. I came here to get the answers. So, I consider all of you my Teachers. What more could you ask for?
