Bear with me

Hi,

If this sounds confusing, it is.

I took my Reiki stuff along on vacation and spent an afternoon at the local library studying what I had. Oh Lord, I came out confused.

I have my manual for doing classes, purchased at my Master/Teacher class. It has the original Usui attunement. I also have my typewritten procedure of how to do attunements from my teacher. They do not match except on the points of revisions the Institute made to improve it. But, without integrating it into the procedure. SOOOO.... which and what do I use?

Are you confused? Me too!

Does it really matter which one I use? And then there is the procedure suggested by Diane Stein. Holding my breath throughout. I don't think so. Per book: You should be able to hold your breath from 2 to 4 minutes. Nope, I can't, plus do all the rest.

I would sure appreciate something that makes sense. Any state secrets to pass on?

Dear Birdy,

I found that all attunement techniques work, if your intention is there. I think of it as a ritual to focus. My attunement style came from a combination of techniques I was given, and has always worked. I find the important thing is to find a technique that you can remember easily, without having to interrupt and have to think what comes next. That's distracting.

Rock On!

Birdy,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- one view is that confusion is nothing more or less than the inability (or even unwillingness) to chose (decide)

Very true, but choosing the right one for me is important.

If, as Roxy said, they all work. I'm in like Flynn.

Thank you Roxy!

Birdy,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- after one chooses (and asseses the effects of one's choice) one may always choose again

- and thus, confusion\chaos may again seemingly be held at bay for a while, at least

The source is important.
IN any healing work.

Obviously it is Unniversal, and then the channel source is you.

So, follow you the great self, your gut instinct that is your solar plexus - intuition.

This way I for one am sure you will find the right thing to do...

I learned to hold breath, and clench my anus for the duration of drawing the symbols and giving a good blow to seal it. per person. Haven't done it since the training, but during the training I forgot one symbol had to rush to book, then did thing. my face must've been turning blue, heh, my teacher had this amazed look on her face, she asked me 'did you hold your breath that long?'

funny really.

I don't go by the books too much just what my teach taught, though I have missgivings. I want to make it simpler and quicker without making a hames of the whole ritual.

Respect

Hi ya all,

Soooo....no one here holds their breath through the whole procedure....even though there may be 5 people in the chairs witing to be attuned? I'm not sure I could think and draw that fast.

That is a great weight off my shoulders.

I feel like such a shucknut!

I know I will do this! I think I am just making a lot of noise to cover up the knocking of my kneecaps. It did throw me my mind went zinging off to the teen corner in the library (scarey place) to find the two very differing attunements.

Starting over (again)!
