The Reiki Cafe 

Hi all!

I'm new to this board, have enjoyed it so far though.

I'm second degree, hoping to become 3rd degree by the end of the year.

I would love some input about contacting Reiki guides. I feel their presence and would really like to learn to be more in tune with them. It still feels kind of hit or miss... an urging here, a prompting there. I have asked to have more contact but so far....? I suspect I am blocking myself, but don't really know what to do about it.

We are happy to have you with us. :o)
Reiki guides come to you at your attunement. They are there with you, I think, always. As far as being 'in touch' with them. You already are.... Try doing some more meditating, simply to 'talk'. Perhaps setting some crystal around, or holding one, may increase the energy enough to be in better contact for you... (works for me!)

These guides are not the same as your teacher guides.

Reiki guides have a purpose in being with you....for constant contact with 'guides', perhaps you should contact your 'teacher'(s)......

Very good question!!..one I have been trying to accomplish as well without much success. I do 'know' I have angels and guides which have been with me all my life; and now, new Reiki guides since my attunements. I have had very little luck in having a direct contact. I have resigned myself that, at least for now, to be content in 'knowing' they are there for me. Perhaps that is all I am to know in this lifetime.
Look forward to other replies, hopefully as good as priestess' is above. As always informative, and provider of food for thought! Thanks priestess.....

My impression is that they what they do IS in their own time, which is our pre-designated time, IF we chose it.
And if it is within the choices we made for THIS lifetime.

SO many "if's" my head is swimming!

It is really hard to be right and left-brained at the same time! (sometimes it hurts!)

In my teachings\learnings, guides (etc) who are always there when one calls and always leave when told, are most likely products of Active Imagination.

Then I take credit for having a VERY active imagination! I don't understand about telling them to leave, tho. They come, and have permission (?) to leave as they will. Certain ones, after they leave, never return, no matter how you wish them to.

I see/know the energies of those that are always near, and the names that they go by.. I think I will take credit for the imagination, and 'know' that not all is imagination.

and then there are those that are with you for a little while until you no longer need them... their purpose has been served....

They are gone, and others take over. Not quite in the same place, but for new lessons..

Mutually exclusive? Marriage and an Active Mind?

I can't imagine life without an Active Mind.

A Teacher once suggested that the Active Imagination is the Illusionist's Illusion, but nonetheless all within the True Nature of Mind - and we come closer to knowing the True Nature of Mind when we recognize this - and more.
