My instruction manual says that is what your reiki master is called because they taught (teach) us reiki. There for they are the teachers of reiki.

Hi Harmony,

William Rand is quite well known in Reiki. If you do a Google search, I'm sure you'll find a lot of information.

Rock On!

I got his book, or one of 'em at least. found it very interesting and a heavy read.

since then I heard he changed some of his views on some subjects written before, I think on these boards 'twas.

Seems like a grand fella.

I found Rand to be pleasant, a thorough Reiki teacher, helpful, and willing to answer questions. The energy of his home was powerful and inviting. The chance to look at and feel his 3ft amethyst geod was worth the price of the attunements!

Salut ponderings.

You are quite right that the term "sensei" is used in martials arts to denote a teacher, but it can also be used to denote anyone in a professional capacity such as a doctor, lawyer, politician or clergyman or a teacher of any sort.

Hope this clears up any confusion.

A bientot.

Hello,

I'm sorry, no you dont rub me the wrong way. I was just trying to explain my self. Also, I'm in menopause with nothing to help me (medically). So I may come off the wrong way. :( Sorry once again.

On a happy note, my free reiki night went great!!!!!!!!
I introduced 5 people to reiki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other people i worked on had already either had it done or had heard about it one way or the other.

Love and light,
Harmony

Thank you, Brian. I appreciate your help.

I didn't mean to make you feel you needed to apology, harmony.....just wanted to make sure that I wasn't phrasing things in such a way that I was offending. So sorry concerning what you're going thru....distance Reiki, perhaps? I haven't gone to that thread, lately.

That was going to be my next question....totally awesome!!! I'm so happy for you.....and the five people! Meant to be!!
Are there more wonderful things to share, my sweet friend?

Isn't black cohosh (I'm probably spelling this wrong) good, too?

Black cohosh has many wonderful properties. Helps with many "female" complaints that occur way before menapause. It also has anti-inflammatory properties as well as being a vasodiolator. Black cohosh is used for menapause.

Maca maca regulates the cycle, increases fertility, and for the menapuasal woman puts the zing and desire back into the sex life.

Is there something for the fellas to put some zing back into their lives? lol

I've a somewhat tennis elbow, stiff neck kind of thing going on. Would Black cosoch be good for that?

you're so cute, jaguar....you need a good hands-on therapist, sweetie. She/he would get the kinks out for you. Bet you have trigger points, too. Thank you, blackearth, for such good information.

Dear Harmony,
My 1st RM was not too fond of Rand as he claims WR used his poem/prayer and puts it out as if it was his own and claim he channeled it and I don't believe he was trained under Rand's people. Maybe they both channeled the same prayer? Who knows. I have written W. Rand regarding trying to locate my 2nd degree RM who was taught through his people and he did e-mail me back saying that he could not locate her yet she was connected through his people and when I e-mailed him another time, years later regarding my 3rd degree RM if she was connected to his organization, I did not get any reply back. To me he seems neutral, low key and milk toast.
peace,
Prosperity

Here what worked for me. Stop eating yellow dye #5, it binds to the b6 receptor sites. Add 1 or 2 tbl spoons liquid calcium and magnesium (afternoon/bedtime). Willow tea (leaves/ small twigs). A real good Reiki treatment. Sometimes a tapping on the pain will clear the energy blocks/ triggers.

Hello Ponderings,

Both of my Reikii Masters are of lineage from WR. They are very good people, and great reiki masters. However, I had read the intruction manual like 3 times before taking the classes. And I felt he was really egotistical, He said no one could be born with this, how does he explain me? ! Plus he says that he created the tehnique of beaming? I'm pretty sure that is what i have done since i was 3 or 4.
When i was little and still now, if I would come across a hurt animal, plant or person, I would get as close as i could and then aim my hand, palm open at them. Picture them in my minds eye healed and after a couple of minutes, they'd be better. Isn't that beaming? Plus since i can remember i have dreamt about these , what i thought were chinese food words on a sign. It looked like an old delapitated sign. And it would show up in random dreams through out my life. I never could understand why. Until my girlfriend told me to do some research on line about reiki. Willam Rands instruction manual came up. The symbols on the cover were the ones on the delapitated sign!!! I was like holy *#@!!! (cow) lol I was sooooooo happy to know what they were and that it wasnt chinese food haunting me. lol I believe I was born with this and so do my parents. ? Thanks much for your opion and your information.

love and light, harmony

Otoharo!

If you have been attuned in a previous life, you will still be attuned. Otherwise, reiki is not automatically inborn.

I had to print your words out, Harmony....hope that's okay....powerful words. I'm always a little leary of folks that think they are the be end all answer to what we need.....I think, forgive me Firekeeper, that this person was speaking from ego....and if they'd been paying attention...they would've been learning from you. Good people or not.....you have so much to teach us. Thank you for sharing, sweet Harmony. You've brought wonder to my day.

My teacher is in his lineage. She teaches his beliefs. If you do everything he tells you in his books to do everyday one or two times, meditations a few different kinds, chants, cleansing exercise's, aura cleansing. You wouldn't have time to have a life!

Unless, if my RM is to be believed, when she was pregnant with her first born, she recieved here first attunement, and so therfore her baby recieved it as well.

She calls him her reiki baby, which I think is so cool.
