was giving a friend reiki, whilst doing the brow chakra, lots of energy, after reiki session friend smelt bonfire toffee, we were working in a service users house on a waking night,we are support workers for people with aquired brain injuries, the room was really cold at the end we had to sit in, it became much colder as my friend smelt the bonfire toffee, she was having trouble breathing, shallow breathing, this didnt scare her, just wondered why it had happened, i asked if anyone in her family made bonfire toffee, or an anniversary around the time, she knew of nothing, asked if the spirit was already in the room it became colder, but nothing scary, the coldness was only felt on our arm and legs, its was freezing we had sleeping bags and jumpers on. the service user was in bed asleep, body temp normal. was my first night omn the job, but she had told me of the coldness in the room,. any insight would be grateful. hope this makes sense.

Perhaps it's a hint about the 31th of October - Halloween, coming up soon (see the wikipedia article on "bonfire toffee")? Perhaps it was the smell of burnt sugar and not candy... I'm thinking about a sugar beet refinery...

You can read more about bonfire toffee at wikipedia. Perhaps that will give you some hints...

I hope/wonder if this helps... :-)

About the loss of breath I have no idea.

twirl,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- how long had it been since you had eaten?

- did you have a bit of a case of the 'nerves'?

- were you using too much personal energy in the reiki work?

- perhaps others have some other ideas

Thanks for your replies, i had eaten a few hours before giving the treatment, didnt feel nervous, or anything. The room is still cold. the lady i gave reiki to has had a terrible and horrific few weeks not physically, but emotionally caused by an ex partner, and to do with animals she loves, she has a small farm. If anyone could send her healing and love it would be appreciated, her name is Paula and she lives in chesterfield, england.
