The Reiki Cafe 

Dear Reiki ones,
I have to wonder why, with so many people in the world practicing Reiki, there is such destruction going on? Wars, genocide, NWO, breaking up of families, corruption in the courts, police, politics; and destruction of our environment. And to be informed by enlightened ones that this is just the beginning, that things will get worse?! Now Fox 13 Nasa spokesperson tells us that we will have to leave the planet and move to Mars as this planet soon will not be able to sustain life. Doesn't make sense to me. Any comments appreciated as the power of Reiki is doing what??

ahhhhh, prosperity, but you're asking such tough questions. Sounds like shades of Robert Heinlein, doesn't it.....or what Stuart Wilde's been predicting all along. I don't believe we help anything by focusing on the negative. There are a lot of good people out there in & out of Reiki that are working towards bettering our world....there's a lot of love & tenderness & caring....the negative stuff is what sells. I believe peace starts within each one of us...
"We must be the change we wish to see in the world"...Gandhi.. and look at all that he started.....a man in a loincloth with a heart big enough for the whole world.
Hard questions....each individual....each country....drawing to itself exactly what is going on....it's up to each one to change.....make a difference....then that makes me wonder what I'm doing....I meditate, pray, visualize, practice unconditional love...and keep learning more...hoping for Spirit to be seen thru me....sorry for rambling so, sweet one.

I agree with what you say and the question is tough and I suppose questions don't heal anything and negative sells and Reiki sells and negative is also concealed etc etc. thanks for yur thoughts and no need to be sorry as you aren't rambling.

Hi,

The only person I can actually improve is myself.

Why does one person feel his\her actions are for the greater good when someone else feels they are rather for the greater harm? That seems to be a question for the Ages and surely beyond me. However, for my three cent's worth, perhaps it is that many people are acting out their Shadows and simply do not know it.

But, to continue Reiki practices for others may be a means by which I may at least contribute indirectly to someone else's efforts to better him\herself.

With earth planning to take a step of evolution which she is timing to coincide with the coming big shift, we are all offered the opportunity to also take that step of evolution at the same time. Not everyone on the planet will have this information, but the more we can spread it, the more who can know. I have further information. I had not thought about this before. that is, that it is essential that the old attitudes, emotions, etc. be healed with reiki so that the world after the shift can have clean atmosphere. We have a great opportunity!

I can understand your point and I myself, do not know that what someone else does who thinks is for the greater good is in fact for good or harm if it's trying to sell symbols that no one really knows much about or where they come from or who are really promoting a healing technique when doing energy work without knowing much about energy work! I don't believe you are in that category however.
Many criticize Reiki ones who teach energy work beyond the symbols and hands on work when it's in my opionion important to know energy work first so as to do no harm. Too many Reiki ones know little except for just Reiki symbols and hands on healing in a few days. The Eastern culture for the most part do not like that the Western culture has certain knowledge as their belief is that we will make things more of a mess as we are a brainwashed disney world culture. I observe that the outer seems to be getting worse, ie suicide rate, killings, dictatorship now in US. I appreciate your comments as I think you are very knowledgeable.

Hi.

Some of the larger problem, I feel, is that as such a young nation (and in some respects a culture, American culture) that our sense of tradition is rather meager to say the least. We simpl;y do not honor tradition very much or see it having much value. We are so caught up in the fast moving tech-age that "tried and true" really has little useful meaning any longer. We blink and there are 10 new technologies that we just have to have - blue tooth, blackberry, Wii, etc etc And tomorrow? These may go into the dust bin in favor of...whoknowswhat.

As for referring to a dictatorship in the USA? That of course is the feeling of some, not entirely unjustly, in the face of a congress with fewer guts that a dis-emboweled halloween pumpkin. But, to refer to the true state of things in such a manner is hyperbole, afterall, and ignores the truly deplorable and horrendous state of things in many counries around the world.

As for murdrer, etc? Every human being has a Shadow. Of course, not every human being acts out the very worst aspects of their Shadow (thankfully)

I didn't mean to ignore the deplorable conditions in other countries however, are not there Reiki Masters there too? That is what I am saying. Madamne Takata brought teachings to the West in approximately 1940's, over 60 years ago and it just doesn't seem to have made too much of a difference when you consider the rising interest in other healing modalities as well included in that. I'm sorry to say. That's my opionion.
Hopefully things will improve and this is the light before the dawn instead of just the beginning of the worst to come. I'm not wallowing in this however, thanks for the feedback and now back to my studies.

Good morn, Prosperity. It came to me during meditation that there has always been wars, killings, and such....all over the world. Perhaps, we are more aware of such incidents because of the instant media that we have. I agree with RC that the change begins with each of us.....whether it's Reiki, or other energy beliefs....I believe it makes a positive difference...wish we could hold you for a bit....or share some of the guys Irish whiskey....

The only thing that makes me angry are people who are opposite of what they claim to be and who bull-sh-t themselves as I do not force anyone to think or know as I do and if you don't know the answer then why the psycho-babble around it? Hopefully some here may choose to open your mind a bit someday who are only willing to believe what their masters or their channelers tell them and who project their own behavior of making assumptions unto me and then do ignore when I ask how I am making assumptions? Talk about not really wanting to learn anything. Hope I didn't rattle anyone's chains too much.

It's a good question, and one I wonder a lot about. Can it be that this is civilization at its extreme? If we were back in the times when life was mostly rural, would we have these problems?

As for Reiki, I honestly don't think there are enough practitioners to make a difference. Either that, or the healing energy is producing a healing crisis. I think this world is going to have to get worse before it gets better.

I know, it gets depressing sometimes. I used to think that our global community was slowly moving up and forward. In the last ten or so years it seems were are de-evolving. And with the upper leadership of our country paddling us all right down the Crap River. That whole situation with the situation in Iraq for instance: calculated and on purpose. The lies and deceit connected to the whole thing is all right there to see and nothing is done about it.

But if not for the growing numbers of people evolving towards the Light, we could be yet worse off.

Depends on what you mean by civilization and if it gets any worse like nuclear destruction then survivors can get transported to Mars and be "saved" or destroyed here or or hmmm - Tony Blair is a lightworker so what does that say. I just hope more people wake up and smell the coffee and learn how to survive as to me that is the key. There are millions of Reiki people all over the planet. I just hope we don't get too stuck into the Reiki ball of wax and be deluded egotistically so to speak but I can only speak for myself.

Dear Michael,
Light and dark is all within God-mind is it not? I am having lowered feelings about it all as it's confusing to me. Where I am, I am grateful that I'm not in a war zone or hurricanes, flooding and I do have food and water, warmth and some health and monetary means. Those such as Wilheim Reich have been imprisoned and died who have invented health restoring inventions that have been confiscated by the government. People are afraid to speak up anymore. Well, the good will prevail somehow. I'm glad you see what is going on. There is always more to learn.

When the Earth's population is in the billions, I think having Reiki practitioners in the millions is still not enough. However, that's my opinion.

Hopefully not a nuclear holocaust, but I do believe that it's going to take a global catastrophe of some sort to let whoever is left to decide to improve the world.

Or perhaps I'm just very cynical.

It's not that I don't see what's going on....I just know that my despairing over it doesn't help me nor those who are truly suffering. Yes, I've been called naive and guillable...but I'll do what I can for those that I can....and others, I'll continue to pray & clean & visualize a better way...if we truly are all one...I feel that's how I can help. Isn't that the mentality that Bush has? That we just need more troops to fix the problem as there are so many terrorists. It hasn't worked yet so keep on doing the same thing that doesn't work and is that not the definition of insanity? There are also millions of therapists, other "light" workers plus billions poured into cancer research etc., yet health care costs and illnesses rising with little effectiveness. I think what is basically wrong has to be looked at and we need different solutions and not more of the same solutions that aren't working. The CIM teaches to forgive and that my thoughts don't mean anything. I believe this means all thoughts that do not bring peace. Same as denial thoughts as well that bring us false peace. Many of our thoughts are not our real thoughts. So whose thoughts are they? Thanks for your post.

I do not want anyone to despair except for those in power who have made wrong choices but do they even care? Mental anquish is not what I want for anyone. I am not or feel I am in despair. Pissed off yes but this discussions board helps alot and you have helped me and I too have been called gullible and naive. I have been in my own crazy untrusting world alot. Take what I say with a grain of salt. There is a quote by Gandhi that says first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win...Also I like your husband as we see eye to eye. Good will prevail! Just want it to happen sooner then later.

Oh, dear, my sweetest one....my husband is so strong...so willing to fight for another....for their right to freedom...their right to believe & choose as they desire as long as they harm no others.....their right to live with joy & happiness....he sees no gray....only black & white...he & I are opposite ends that meet lovingly in the center....I'm so very proud of him, for I believe this is his first life of not having to kill people....and it's been a little rough for him.....but sa la vie as my gorgeous papa would say. I'm glad that he's given thee some pleasure. And I'm also glad that you're not in despair....for I want the best for someone who cares this much. I thank thee, cookie. P.S. I love Gandhi, too.
