How do you charge and how much?

I have decide that it is time to charge for my Reiki services. There are friends and family that I have given Reiki to and I feel that it is my time that I am charging for not so much the Reiki. I put in my time and efforts toward their well being and there should be an amount charged for that provision.

1.What do you charge per session in your area?

2.How do you get people to pay for your services when they have got it for free and may not expect to pay?

Any comments are appreciated.
Namaste,
Healing-Hands

Otoharo!

What we use as a gauge in this area is the fees of massage therapists. that is $35.00 here. As one gains more and more experience, there is such a feedback on the practitioner, it is fully needed and in my case until she receives my fee even though she may have been working on the energy for some time, I do not benefit until she receives the fee. I have described the healings of on-going lives of other mes.

I need to make an explanation. I contract for two different treatments. Before we began the healing of other mes, I contracted monthly for four or five weekly treatments. The fee at that time was $50. So at the beginning of the month I pay the monthly amount. Though we know these are weekly, we do not set a specific time in order to fool the ego/intellect. I see this energy which usually occurs during the night. Sometimes I do not awaken, but usually the light creeps into my dream field and I recognise it. Then I report the next morning. She waits for me to tell her before she says anything. I note this on a calendar. That day, I am super organized, go from one task to another all day long without tiring. It is stupendous!

We have only done the healings of other me's this year. The weekly treatment of me has been in effect since about 2002, I think. I used to pay by check. These days we are staying with cash in all our affairs as much as possible.

You may recall that I am so intent upon healing myself because I want to return to HEB status this lifetime.

Hello Healing-Hands,

I do not currently work in this business but often think about what I would do if I started my own little business. Perhaps you could suggest that from now on you can't do it for free anymore but as you are just starting out, you'd like to offer a "pay for one session, get one free" deal which might make people realize you are serious about your business. You may lose some (friends/aquaintances) over it but then you will certainly start attracting more business to you the more you do.

I am in canada but the dollar is almost the same now, I would think that if you start off asking $25.00 then you could increase it once you get established. I'm sure others already doing this work will have a better suggestion.

I admire your courage. Good luck!!

Good Sunday to you, Healing-Hands. My friend and master requested $35 for an hour of her time. If your folks are deserving of your gifts, then you are also deserving of theirs.

Hello Animal,

I just started my own Reiki practice in june of this year. I started at $20 then went to $30.00 when i got established in an office. And now they have raised my rent so i now charge $45. I hope this helps.

Hi Healing-Hands,

I'm guessing Harmony meant per hour. I had suggested in an earlier post starting at $20 or $25 / hour but just meant that until you get established, just charge a nominal fee for your friends and family. However, just to let you know that both of my (Reiki) teachers and massage therapist charge $60 and $90 for hour sessions because they value their work and have also been in their field for many years and have been able to build up their practice. And they would like their clients to see the value in their experience too.

Hope this helps. animallover28
