My daughter is a reiki 2 and I am a master teacher. I have a friend that wants us to do her and her son at the same time in the same room? Has anyone ever done this with 2 practioners at the same time? working on different people?
I am guessing it would be fine. I was just wondering with auras and all.

This is what Reiki shares and circles are all about.
Of course it would be fine.
Be aware that with each extra person in the room the energy in the room will be higher. Stay focused and grounded.

posylady,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- so, the mother wants she and her son to have the Reiki training and attunements in the same room, at the same time, but each with an individual Teacher??
- I would say that as long as each pair cannot hear the other (that would constitute a major distraction) then I see no major problem doing it that way
- though, with different Teachers I would use separate rooms
- and, this 'together' thing feels just a little funny to me
- but, perhaps that is just me
- hope this helps

Dear posylady,
I would gently interview her as to why she believes that setup is a good idea.

FK,
Interesting point you bring up about training and attuning at the same time. From Posy's post I got that the mother and her son were wanting just treatments, "working on". Which is it Posy?
For training I can see multiple people in the same room even with two teachers but if I recall Posy is the only teacher level.
For attunements I say one student done privately at a time.
When I was learning we had a class room/treatment room for all and another room separate for the attunement done one student at a time. I do this also.

Donna,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- if as you point out it is only Reiki treatments, then I am not sure why anyone would be worried about different pratitoners working on different people in the same space at the same time
- still, the special request in this case to be together still somehow rings a little funny (again, perhaps just me - although we do not know the age of the son)

It is just treatments my daughter on her and me on her son treating with reiki. Not attunment.It worked out fine anyway. The room wasn't big enough for both so we only had one table set up. I guess I was worried about the son who is 14 being by-polar and distractions, But I forgot to put that in my message. Man getting older and forgetting stinks. Thank- you all
Now you have me wondering about 2 teacher attuning a class at the same time. My daughter will be a Master Teacher when she's ready and we had thought about teaching classes together. Now you have me wondering.

Otoharo!
I would like to report the experiences I have had with groups. At the Northwest Reiki Gathering at Breitenbush, we periodically during the days and evenings set up tables and broke into groups to treat each other. Sometimes we counted off while still in the large group, and groups then formed by our count. Locally, when we had only one table we grouped around that one table so that many hands were on each one as our turn came to lie on the table.
For class. we met in the classroom, (the largest room in the house) and in one of the bedrooms, were taken one at a time for attunements. When I audited others' classes, at one of them, we stayed in the classroom for the attunements and were asked to keep our eyes closed. We always had our eyes closed for the attunement whatever the situation until the last day of training for reiki III.

hi everyone, strange we all have differing perceptions regarding Reiki - which is good - I think when your daughter has had her reiki 3 attunement it would be a good idea for her to sit in on some of your classes as an observer, I have known two masters with a large 'class' both do the attunements they didn't seem to regard this as a problem or at all odd. Again if it feels right for you go with it.

Hi Posylady,
When i had my reiki 1 and2 classes i had two reiki masters both did our attunements at the same time, each with one of us, and all in the same room. I received an awsome attunement and then towards the end of our classes we reiki eachother all in the same room. It worked out very well. Ihope that helps.
