The Reiki Cafe 

Hello all:
I just got my reiki 1 attunement last weekend. I enjoyed it but I really didn't like the master teacher. I was warned about her so I went and did it. When I go for my reiki 2, I have chosen someone else.
Grounding has been talked about before doing a session on someone. How is this done? My teacher never discussed that.

I'm sorry to hear that your Reiki teacher didn't resonate with you, that's hard especially with Reiki I.

Grounding: Close your eyes and visualise/imagine roots coming out of your feet. Let them go deep into the earth, through the soil, through rock, now anchor them onto a large stone or crystal buried deep within Mother Earth's surface. If you are well grounded you can send excess/unwanted energy out via your feet.

This is one way to ground yourself, hope it helps :)

Brain gym adds wrapping your arms and legs around each other while you are doing this visualization....almost like a double helix. MamaBear and others once talked about soaking in a salt bath, too. Good learning, dolphin.

Well done dolphin01, good decision to find someone else, hopefully they will be willing to pass on their knowledge in a much kinder and gentle way, try and make contact with other reiki people in your area, shared things are always precious.
