Hi Stephen,
Can you say what the lawsuit was about? I couldn't find the case online. Thanks.

I will once I have received more documentation. The courtroom docs are not retrievable online at this time.

At this time I've been receiving a variety of mailings from anonymous senders. It's been miscellaneous copies of courtroom documentation, other letters and anonymous opinions of whose sphincter smells stronger than the others.

I have ordered the official courtroom documents from the Michigan court. The check to pay for these official copies cleared last Friday, March 21, 2008. The invoice indicates it may take up to two weeks to process the request. I anticipate the documents will be received sometime during the first week of April.

Since the original post, further research has revealed that Rand was not awarded $60k as the initial paperwork I received implied. The court did not rule in his favor at that time.

My hope is that receipt of ALL relevant public courtroom documentation will permit the truth to emerge.

For what I understand ( and I could be wrong), the lawsuit was not over Usui Reiki, but the use of the offshoot of Reiki that William Rand Developed called Karuna Reiki and the symbols and attunments involved in it, truly I am not close enough to either party to know who actually invented karuna Reiki but it is a fact it was william rand who trademarked it, and the symbols in question, some of this info can be found in Kathleen miller's website under newsletter( I found it through google)

Admittedly I still do not have court provided documents of the case.

Several weeks ago I mailed payment of $45 to the District Court. That was a "retrieval fee", a fee to pay for them to look up the documentation.

Official copies of the entire case will cost me $290, and due to my college expenses, I'm not ready to pay for it yet. It's more likely to be within my budget by the end of summer but even then I may decide against the expense.

sorry I've been offline for a few weeks, I am now very intriqued as like posylady William Rand is on my linage chart, in the past I checked out karuna reiki with my master as she qualified as a karuna master with William Rand, I decided against it as cost was I thought too high, not for the course itself but to be 'registered' with William Rand, couldn't do one without the other. Check out other websites all the karuna symbols are there for all and everyone to view. Is it me but I am always a little suspicious when things are 'channelled' and loads of money is involved.
