The Reiki Cafe

Namaste :)

Just out of interest I spent some time earlier today after sending distant Reiki attempting to 'see' the Reiki energy flowing from my hands. It was strange my hands kind of disappeared or looked as if they weren't really hands anymore and I was aware of whitish gold energy within the palm area which seemed more focused at the fingertips. Before when I have seen my own aura around my hands it has appeared a vibrant turquoise colour.

I wondered what other people's experiences/perception might be of the Reiki energy, if anyone would like to share?

None, I'm pretty much blocked. Once when I said it to my shiatsu therepist, he just laughed. I reckon he saw it more than I since he's reiki as well. cat laugh.

I don't see reiki wiih my eyes but my inner sight sees reiki as i have described many times, a sun, or light circling counterclockwise, or pulsing.

When I look at it, it usually has a gold color. Although it sometimes appears to be violet.

- to help sort out the issue of one's own aura and that of a receipient during hands-on Reiki, perhaps do distance Reiki to someone across the room and attempt to 'see' what the energy 'looks like' during the work

I have seen some "Reiki" as well. I think what I am seeing is part of aura or universal energy. I have seen what looks like it is snowing. That is the only way to explain it. I have also seen what looks like heat waves and white energy around people and objects. When I can completely unblock my third eye chakra I hope to see more.

Rainbow, Question when you do distance reiki do you see a flow of energy from hand to hand and as you raise your hands does it follow them. I feel you see thing that others don,t you are more attuned in this area of reiki you work with feeling. relax more when sending reiki you are different open up that vision. Loving blessings.

The truth is I have never tried to 'see' the Reiki energy before. I have sometimes seen auras although not often, I often 'feel' things more than 'see' them but I will be trying the things that you mention. The interesting thing on this particular occasion was when i spoke to the recipient afterwards we had both put on exactly the same music (without knowing) and I was able to tell her what colour she was wearing as I had such a clear vision of her as I was sending Reiki. However, 'seeing' the Reiki energy came afterwards when i had stopped sending.

- this harks, I think, to my comment about discerning one's own aura (or that of another) from ULE that flows during Reiki

- so, if you had stopped sending, I have to wonder whether what you 'saw' was ULE or simply the residuals of your own energy bodies (which certainly must been energized by the Reiki work)

Although I had stopped sending Reiki to the recipient, as an experiment I focused on letting Reiki flow from my hands, de-focused my eyes and tried to 'see' the Reiki energy. My aura colour has always been turquoise in my hands before but of course it's indeed entirely possible that it was my own aura or energy residues that I saw which is why I need to do more work and certainly experiment much more before drawing any conclusions one way or the other :)

I completely agree that seeing the colour she was wearing is nowhere near the same as distantly seeing her aura. It was however a breakthrough for me as I have never 'seen' anything other than pictures or symbols during distance work. This was far more like I was actually physically present with her; which for me is quite a development in distant healing :)

Now to be able to see auras distantly would certainly be awesome and I live in hope :))

I think it is important to remember to be open to all levels of the experience. If you "think" you are seeing anything.....be open to it. No one can tell you whether it is real or unreal. If it is real to you and the experience you are in...then it's real.

In the seventies when I was learning Inner Peace Movement techniques, I lived at a retreat center for awhile. the little cabin I occupied was lower than the road where traffic passed. I tested myself by turning my back to the raod, seeing the cars pass within my self then glancing up to see how well I did. I could always see the color of the vehicle, not necessarily identify the name of it. These are fun things to do when one is a visual person naturally.
