reiki on my horse

I need to do a longer session on her. But before we go out for our ride, I lay my hands on her and immediately, my hands start to tingle. Mostly my fingers. Like pins and needles.
What do you make of that?
My friend told me to do some Reiki on her when we are at home and she's relaxed and leave my hands on her til that sensation goes away.

More important is, what do you make of it? My experience is that these sensations can be specific to the person and the reasons aren't necessarily universal.

I would try placing my hands at other positions and see what I felt in other places. Maybe it is specific to one position and maybe not.

If it were me and based in my experience with the energy I would say that there is a greater need at this specific position for energy. If it was an all over sensation then I would assume that the entire body needed special attention.

I wouldn't presume to attempt a diagnosis based on any sensation.

Grounding. Reiki with animals seems to pack a punch so to speak. I would work on communicating and scanning to proceed.

Speaking to animals is actually quite easy to get started. Of course use simple/gentle tones and Mindfulness.

When you speak a to an animal keep it simple and consistent. In successfully speaking to an animal one is sending/visualizing picture thoughts that clarify what you are saying verbally. They key into that much easier than trying to translate your verbal speak.

Namaste,
Michael

Once, when my sis's hoss had a 'hangnail', my sis was concerned and asked if I'd reiki it. Since the hoss wasn't very touch/feely(at the time, being a young hoss and hardly no handling) I decided to go the 'distant' route.
After a few minutes of this the hoss shook its head and lay down with a 'whump' still shaking its head.
A few days later the 'hangnail' fell off and hoss was okay. Probably did pack a punch. Reiki 1-hoss nil.

Otoharo!

I agree. they pick up our thoughts more than our words, and apparently associate the word that matches the thought.
