I am interested in The Reiki Touch system by William Lee Rand. I was wondering if it addresses mental/emotional issues including the laying on of hands for these areas? I would like to know if another system would be better?Sincerely,Rose Quartz

rosequartz,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- I am not endorsing any particular 'school' and I do not support Reiki taught indirectly via the internet or DVD, etc

- having said that, as far as I know all Reiki is initially taught as hands-on practices (I would not confuse this with "laying on of hands")

- the key with Reiki is that the person receiving the energy must use the energy to do the healing work

- the Practitioner does not heal the recipient\client (though there are some who think of Reiki in these terms)

- and yes, there are aspects of Reiki practices which focus on mental and emotional issues (again though, it is the client\recipient who must use his\her own gifts to accept the energy and manifest their own healing)

- Reiki also has distance energy practices which are, by definition, not hands-on and, typically, are taught after attunement at the first level

- hope this helps
