I recommend finding a trustworthy in-person teacher who spends at least a whole day on teaching beginning Reiki.

I think what we're all trying to share, Raja2, is the personal connection that you make with your Reiki teacher (or teachers)....yes, there are folks who believe they can give that to you thru cyberspace or a phone....and I don't dispute them....just wish for you the best possible connection to what we consider to be one of the greatest energies of the Universe....meant for all....eyeball to eyeball, baby....please don't give up on you.....and what you need the most.

Hi.I want a Reiki 2 distant attunement thnx. I already know loadz about Reiki as I have gone to google and searched about it so I know its history and symbols etc.

Reiki is more about one on one personal interaction. But if you google free Reiki Attunements on google, you may find a few people who will do it.

There is far more to Reiki than what the internet or books will ever be able to tell you. The teacher-student relationsip in Reiki cannot be substituted in anyway. Finding an experienced teacher who can share with you his or her knowladge and experience is something to treasure. In my years of teaching I have had many students come to me to take my classes, after taking online classes or simply getting attunned without instruction. Most of them tell me that they experienced things while practicing that they did not know about or how to deal with and had nobody to ask, also that upon talking to other practitioners they heard about techniques within Reiki that are not taught normally taught in online-distance attunement type classes. Reiki is more than just healing and symbols: Its practice is a way of life with many components that if you are to learn about them properly you need to learn them in person from someone who is qualified.

Comon guys, 10 years ago there was hardly anything out there and I found enough information in books and on the web to be overly informed when I took my 2nd degree class. Sure I learned a little more from my teacher in class before the attunement, and the hands on attunement knocked my socks off, but, in a pinch, when someone studies well and isn't quick to pick a person to attune them, a distance attunement can work really well.

So study well Raja, chat with a few people that are offering free attunements. If they don't have the time to chat with you, don't ask them to attune you, and if they won't synchronize a time and meet you on AIM or MSN don't accept their help.

Easier said than done.
