Distant Attunement

A newly aquired friend, told me how she 'learnt' and got attuned distantly. She said that this method and means suited her. She did so with conviction.
So I have no qualms whether she's attuned or no.
I have trouble though in accepting her 'reiki' way. It wouldn't be my way and wasn't. But then again, she would say that my way wouldn't have suited her.

I'm wondering what reiki people on this site think of this, and whether maybe I'm a bit predjudiced in my view that a physical person should be present for an attunement.

I personaly wouldn't recommend this way of doing so, but this is just me.

Jaguar,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

- for myself??

- attunements need to follow training and practice

- all in the 1st person, so to speak

- 'distance' is just too far removed, afterall

I'm a hands on person.
but I do send distant
"Reiki" energy. so what's
the difference. Distant
attunement/energy. I'm
not opposed to distant
attunemnet but I would
prefer person to person.

"so what's the difference. "

Uh, one obvious difference would be training. The recipient of treatment doesn't need to be trained. The recipient of an attunement should get training. Or do you disagree with that?

Addendum: What sort of training is provided when a distant attunement is given?

There is a special bond made when a person is attuned 'in person'. It is not just the feedback that one gets but the effects from being within the energy influence of the RM, it is a bond based on love and support, on trust and encompassment. Much of this is absent for distant attunements.
I would also go further and recommend a one-on-one attunement rather than a group one.

I agree. I beleive distant healing is good but to be trained you need a master/teacher f2f.
