I guess that might be arranged but it would be easier if everone could identuify a snipe if they see one. :-}}}}

- reporting sightings of new or other species would, of course, be welcomed. :-}}

Firekeeper,

Last night while moving furniture and putting up beds in my room, we disturbed an entire nest of snipes. I guess it was a nest (herd, gaggle, group) They scattered in all directions and my cat had a hard time knowing which way to run.

I was unaware that snipes were purple, orange, blue and green, and could even have yellow polka dots. My youngest son loved the action and asked how he could attract another nest(?) into our room again.

My cat is just too smug this morning. He must have actually caught a few snipes last night.

Light and laughter,
Carolyn

Carolyn,

Namaste.

What attracted them in the first place?

Got burlap pillow cases? Bedcovers? Curtains?

Snipe hunts need burlap sacks so this is why I ask. Snipes are drawn to burlap like coyotes to...... well......

Those might have been Lower World snipes at a Power Animal Clan gathering... in your bedroom.

Firekeeper,

Yes, I suppose it would be best if everyone COULD just identify a snipe when they see on. Especially since there are so many different descriptions of them. :o)

I think we all now have descriptions of animals mistaken for snipes, that are actually something else.....

Instead of a snipe hunt, maybe we need a refresher course by cyote on what we are actually looking for! Using up calories on a snipe hunt isn't bad, if one knows one will end up with at least one snipe! L&LL&L Priestess

Hey redhead,
Didn't know you got another cat! Previous offer still stands, got a couple of kittens with your name on them! Still have my daughter's number I suppose......!!!!!!

Frankly I always knew they were multi-colored, cyotes just see them thru eyes that see 'food'. ;o)))) one-dimensional.........

Hard to fathom that there is still uncertainty about what a snipe looks like.

I heard that.

Food is definitely multidimensional.

- even spiritual at times. :-}}}}}}

Color is only one dimension - of anything - even food.

Firekeeper,

Nahhhhhhhhhh, even the best of us get a wrong one sometimes! ;o)) !!!

Color is certainly not one dimensional...Take the color orange, then take an orange!!!!!!! Red can be anger and it is also our life force...blood!!! Food to a hungry cyote, however!!!! Hummmmmmm... Well, I will give you spiritual....and physical, also emotional. But the essence of those multi-colored snipes goes on and on and on.......
What do you think a rainbow colored snipe tastes like? A rainbow?

Priestess,

Namaste.

I try not confuse the color with the entity - color itself may not be one dimensional, but it is only one dimension of food or anything else. :-}}

To taste color is one of the spiritual experiences.

To see rainbow snipes may be explained several ways -

- "eyes"

- active imagination

- hallucination

- mistaken

So which are you?

One dimensional color, hummmmmmmmmm, I will think about that for a bit longer. Does not seem fair that something that brings such joy to our physical selves should be only one dimension....especially with food.......

As for 'which' I am.....may I take the first 2 out of 4? I have 'eyes' which are becoming better at 'seeing' all the time, I HOPE I have an active imagination, I am seldom 'mistaken' any more, tho it can happen occasionally, and while I am rather 'taken' by the word 'hallucination', (it rolls off one's tongue so easily, don't you think?) I tend to want to avoid another trip to the cookie factory.........
;o) ............!
AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, another secret just bit the dust!

SO, if one COULD taste a rainbow snipe, what do you think a rainbow snipe would taste like?

I think it might taste like you feel in the early morning, when there is dew on the grass, and your feet get wet on the way to pick some fresh iris's (the purple one's that smell like grandmother's did as a child) to bring into the house. Kind of fresh, wet, nostalgic, bubbly, fun and new all at the same time. Short-lived but very precious....What do you think? Anyone?

Throw in the smell of vine ripe strawberries and a clear blue summer sky, the buzz of the cicadas and the feeling of a hug from grandma.

Firekeeper,

Priestess recently pointed out to me that I am beginning to 'see', but unless my son can 'see' too . . .

And what is imagination? Is it not reality?

Someday I gotta try a good hallucination. Maybe not. It would just blend in with my imaginaiton.

I do know snipes. I just hadn't encountered any with colors other than brown, black and white. I didn't find any burlap in the room. I do have a nest of minature dragons that they could have been visiting . . . My dragons are multi-colored and about the size of a small finch. My cat leaves them alone since they attacked him enmass one day.

redheaddragon,

Namaste.

In my estimation, Imagination is what we would like reality to be or a distortion of reality through the filter known as personality.

If you go through a formal ritual which uses hallucinagens such as peyote, you might find it interesting.

Finch-sized dragons. Wonderful.

Your son may well have "eyes".
