Hello All,
I am in need of some expertise and/or knowledge. Today when I was giving my 10month old son Reiki, to help him with his cold, I felt that I should draw the power symbol physically on him, 3x, and speak it, 3x. The top of the symbol was to start from the head, and the spiral to finish over his navel. I then felt that with the end of each spiral, I must touch his navel, as if to seal it. I don't know why I did that, but I did as I was led (trying to listen). Any ideas or input on this? whys? etc. anything really, as I am very curious...
All the best to you all,
Dina
N.B. I have another question/topic, but will wait for another day...I am pondering demons, it seems (too much sci-fi I suspect)

Dina,
The children rely on their parents for protection. In all ways.
I would expect that you are feeling a need to 'bless' and protect your small son. Particularly since the second part of your post suggests a reason.
Always follow your intuition.

Dian,
Namaste.
Your intuition has spoken - you have listened.
All is well.

As for sci-fi? that has little to do with true demons.

Hello Louise,
Thank you for your response, and I agree that children rely on their caregivers to protect. You are obviously right that I wanted to bless. That is always a given. I usually have many more questions than answers...at any rate, whatever that happened with my son's reiki, today he is very normal, and not a bit lethargic, and I am relieved. We are all blessed, aren't we?

Firekeeper,
Thank you for your response...I realize my intuition/guide(s) has spoken, and I listened. For a change, I listened more quickly, and with less hesitation and doubt, even thought at the time I didn't feel like I was listening to anything. I believe there is always a reason for everything, and I really wanted to know why...I always want to know the why's of everything...almost everything {just covering my basis ;-) }
All blessings,
Dina

Samara:
When asked by the Chinese Emperor "Who is it who stands before me?" Bhodidharma, the Zen Patriarch often credited with bringing Zen Buddhism to China in the 6th century C.E., responded: "I do not know."
For me, knowledge has its place, intuition has its place, not-knowing has its place. Would knowing all there is to know about a mirror make it more (or less) reflective?

Toodlums,
agreed...the mirror is as reflective as it is. However, as you said, there is a place for knowing, and so I asked... I am aware that curiousity killed the cat, and I hope I am not that :)

I don't think you are going to have the curious cat's problem. I fully agree with seeking answers where appropriate and each of us must decide that appropriateness for ourselves.
Perhaps what the cat learns from its curiosity also helps to keep it alive?

Hello Toodlums,
yes, I guess that curiosity with some intelligence leads to learning...one thing for certain, the quality of that cat's life is richer for it, and is that not worth more???
:)
Blessings

Perhaps the mirror would then be entirely superfluous?

Dina,
/*\ nah ma stay
:-}}
It is a greeting of honor, respect, humility, etc. It says that the God\dess in me greets the God\dess in you.
Exact translatons vary somewhat from sub-tradition to sub-tradition.
Sat Nam is also a greeting but often, too, a parting or concluding thought - Sat is the Infinite and Nam is sort of the Finite - a way to show respect for connecting and balanceing the Finite (me) with the Infinite - or something like that. :-}}
Hope this helps.
- and......... your Holiday cheer has been wonderful to interact within. :-}}
