Anil,

/*\ namaste.

Sit in easy pose or lotus seat -hold the guyanmudra - visualize whatever symbol you wish - have the work in Mind which you want to do - Mindfully integrate the symbol into the work.

If you cannot do either seating, sit on a straight chair, feet flat on the floor (bare feet) - sky-clad feet. :-}}

- start with 3-5 minutes. work up to 7 minutes, 11 minutes, 31 minutes, 1 1\2 hours.

Anil,

Another way that I have used the symbols in meditation is to repeat their name aloud if no one is within earshot. The symbol can also be mentally drawn with each repitition. Using the two is a very powerful way to focus the mind. Sound is a wonderful way to meditate. Some say that is how the Universe was created (First there was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God....or something like that).

Hello Anil,

Another way that I was shown is to sit, lay down if I have too (depending on the situation, although that may lead you to sleep), and state the intention, ask for assistance from Reiki Guides, Angels, God, etc. (use your own). Draw out each of the following symbols, and say their names 3X in mantra fashion. The symbols are Usui Master, Power, Emotional/Mental, Distant (if you do not have level III, then use whatever symbols you can). Envision each symbol glowing in light, hold that visualization for a few minutes (as long as you can at first, then eventually increase it), and then place that symbol in a beam of soft light coming from above. Move onto the next symbol. When done with all the symbols, state and see what it is you would like to accomplish, and see it completed or actualized. Close with a prayer, such as may this be in divine wisdom and light, etc. or whatever you feel comfortable with. All the best to you in whatever form or style you use. I believe intention is much more important than rules and steps... :)

Blessings to you, and yours
Dina
