The Reiki Cafe 

Hi everybody,
This is a really weird time for me right now and I need some advice. I remember a time when my energy was strong and I was clear, but latly I have felt my energy slow and even stop. I have stopped all my attunments now because I feel my energy is so blocked. It has me very concerned. I run energy on myself, but even that isn't as stong as it used to be. Has anyone else lost it and if so did it come back?

Hi Joanna,

Well this is certainly an unusual period. The Summer solstace just passed and for the last few years the winter and summer solstaces have been times of change for me. This year, of course is no different. Recently, I could not concentrate on work at all, so I finally stayed off the computer and took a real break for a change. I don't know if this is related to your blockages, but it may be.

I haven't yet experienced this, but then I am fairly new to Reiki. I have heard that some people advocate regular re-attunements though, not because we lose the channel, but merely to strengthen and clear it now and again, because of blockages.

I would be happy to send Reiki if you wish it.

I don't want to sound like I am picking on semantics but thought forms can be potent - so -

Reiki is not 'my' energy. When I channel Reiki I am Mindful not to channel 'my' energy.

You speak of 'your' attunements - but you refer to the attunements you merely pass to others, correct?

As far as I am concerned, attunements are permanent though clear channels may become 'clogged'.

You may re-attune yourself if you wish - to try and clear out whatever is the clog.

- The clogs? My opinion? Ego attachments.

Yes, I have 'been ther, worn the T shirt etc., and it's all very frustrating, because as Firekeeper says, immediately it happens the old ego is in there saying 'I told you so!! It's all a load of bul....!'
When in reality you have already made a great leap forward, because you are aware of and 'feeling' the change in energy frequencies. onsider it a time of stock-taking. Look around and see if there are any doors you have refused to push open, because you were too focused on the route you were on:-)) Know for a crtainty, that someone somehere has felt as you do now, and others wil come behind us with similar experiences, - and then it will be our turn to pass on encouragement and advice:0))) Treat this time as Teacher Time, and learn from it both the good and the bad. If you can change the bad, then all to the good, and the good you can enjoy before passing it on to others.
Here's hoping you'll always be surrounded by the laughter of love and joy. jonjo

I know Reiki is not "my" energy but when my energy is at such a low frequency Reiki doesn't run for me. I haven't the strength to call to it or my gunky energy is so dense it can't get through, whatever the reason it doesn't come and I am stuck.

As for gunkys being ego attachments, that could be a good possibility. Being a leo, that has been a major lesson I have had to deal with this life time. But knowing it is an ego attachment still doesn't help me release it.

Since I am not clear, I am not passing attunments because the energy I am grounding for that person will get stuck in my field and cause me further trama. That is why I am not doing attunments right now.
As for getting another attunment, I don't know, I just want to feel better again. I think I agree with jonjo in that I just need to figure out why this is happening and that is why I sent in the post to my Reiki family, because I needed help in figuring out how to help myself.

Thank you for the post. Yes I feel that this is true. This has happened to me before and everytime I go through the dark periods I forget that it is just a cycle like the moon. This too shall pass. It's funny, I have been doing healing for so long and when I get sick everything I know goes flying out the window and I am just a big baby. I think I just need to chill out for a while and write about my experiance. You are right about taking the knowledge for later. In my hardest times of growth that was what I used to say to get me through the realy tough times. I will get through this and when I do I will have a map and I will give that map to those people who need it.

But, Coyote recommends, among other things -

several swims in the ocean or sitting sweat lodge. Don't got them? ok -

- take a hot soak (as hot as you can Bear) in a tub with 1 cup salt dissolved.

- soak, soak, soak. Then rinse under COLD shower. :-}}}

- three times per week is good for about two weeks - depending on gunkiness.

- a self-reattunement once the bath routine is done is great.

Hi! I find regular reiki treatments from other practitioners always boosts the flow. It feels so much better when somebody else is giving the treatment don't you think? And if your chakras are blocked for whatever reason, and you treat yourself, what little flow you are receiving goes round and round ;) I don't think another attunement is necessary IMO.

If you know 3 reiki II's or above, if you are interested, i know a good method for treating all chakras simultaneously...
