The Reiki Cafe 

I have been sitting here wondering about our Guides and Angels.

From the limited knowledge that I have, I assume that they are here to help us and 'guide' us ...hence their name :))

What puzzles me a little is 1. Why do they not protect us from discarnates and entities etc. whilst we are channelling Reiki? and 2. Why is it that during some sessions their presence is very apparent and yet not in others, even though I always invite them to participate?

Also, in distant healing, are they with me or the person(s) that I am sending distant Reiki to?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

1. They are not there to make decisions for us. We are responsible for our choices - what Firekeeper would call our Karma. - We are responsible for creating our own protection, even if that includes ASKING them to protect us!!!:-)
2. Difficult one. Perhaps they know when you can go it alone and when you need a little help and support. - Otherwise we may be tempted to use them like a pair of crutvhes.
3. Your guides, are your guides. You may 'sense' that the recipient's guides are also present when you do healing, in those instances, thank them for coming along and invite them to join in if it is for the highest good of the recipent.
Those, Helen, are my thoughts. It doesn't mean they are right for you, but they work fine for me:0))))

I thought that the answer to the first might be this :)...I do always ask them for protection though, during a session, as well as visualizing myself protected by white light.

I find it comforting when I sense their presence and sort of feel a bit alone when they're not present at a session :))

I have a feeling that they are ALWAYS there, whether we ask or not. It is our own awareness, or lack of it that may not let us know that we are among them.
