reiki and water

hello everyone!

Is there any technique to combine reiki and water?like getting a treatment in a swimming pool,or a small jacuzzi? even if its a self treatment...would it help to give reiki to the water too? I found water to be such a relaxing and powerful element that i wish i could combine them both.

Any ideas, experience?

blessings all around

I don't know about specific techniques, but I have allowed my hands to "float" on the water during a relaxing bath and send reiki to the water. The results were a warm "buzz" around me during the bath. It's a nice way to relax.

I have heard of Reikiing the bath water, but since I take showers I have not tried it.

However, a friend who is also a RM, wanted to try sending to each other in a hot spring pool. It was quite nice.

It is a good thing to practice being thankful to the water, as a meditation. Think of a nearby stream or river, send your thanks to it for sustaining life, then follow to the ocean, send great thanks to the water that covers three quarters of our globe, for all it does to give us life and abundance, moderate the climate, and many many other gifts. The water appreciates your gratitude, there's some interesting research being done on that. And it needs as much energy as we can spare, so heavy is the burden we put on it around the world. Giving Reiki to water is thus great work, and it gives back to you!

Blessings,
Aronaya

Hi LadyCyan,

Sometimes, when I fill my drinking glass with water, I will place both hands around the glass, and intentionally send Reiki into it, before drinking it.

Hi LadyCyan,

I really enjoy swimming outdoors and find it very relaxing. Sometimes I visualise the first symbol at the far end of the pool. I then concentrate on the symbol and swim into it. Othertimes, I imagine I am surrounded by the second symbol whilst saying, "I am surrounded by divine love and wisdom".

All in all a very pleasurable experience.

best wishes to all
Judith.

Thank you! I am hoping to be of service in writing something beautiful soon, so your words are great support.

Curious - what is "Otoharo"? No hits on Google.

Blessings,
Aronaya

I very much like that idea. Printed out for my "Reiki Prescriptions" file. Will try that next summer to help with my swimming anxiety.

I'm sure it will. My Mum has a swimming anxiety and seems to make good progress with it when she comes over from England to visit me. I'm fortunate at this period in my life to live in a climate with sunshine all year round, so I get to swim most days. The pool is quite small and I think this helps Mum with her anxiety. She also stays in the shallow end and just swims across the width of the pool, knowing she can put her feet down any time she feels unsafe. When she does a width without putting her feet down a huge smile spreads across her face. It's lovely to see.

There are so many ways to use the symbols aren't there, when we remember to use them that is. Using them brings such a good feeling, I'm often left wondering why I don't use them more!

take care
Judith.

Otoharo is a reminder that we are one. Not only we as humans but all of nature including earth herself.

Ahh i love the little coincidences of life. As i was reading about the water talk that experiment came into mind immediately and i was like " Ahh mannn, i wish i could remeber what site that was1"
Lo and behold you posted it already. Yayy for that. : )
Additionally, in regards to aronaya's post about being reverent and appreciative towards water, it's also a good thing to keep in mind our own bodies are also mostly water.
Anytime we send energy and blessings to water it gets sent to all things. Stone recieves these blessings when the rains come. By default all living things recieve these blessings due to their compositions. Everytime someone drinks water in any form they recieve further blessings and energies.
I pray daily for the element of water to be purified by the divine. Also in that respect the primal element of water is associated with healing, so it's like sending healin to the arts themselves and those who practice it.
