Namaste:
I am a very new Reiki Master/Teacher and will soon co-teach my first Reiki I and II class. I am in the prepatory stages now, and would appreciate any tips, info and help you would like to share with me. I am excited, and nervous about taking this next step in my journey. I know there is a lot to learn and experience. Please share your thoughts or stories of your first few classes, or ideas you think will be of help.

Congrat's on your RM, and with regard to your new class, sit quietly and think of your own experiences when you were learning, and then write down your memories. Then look at what you've written, and see if it brings up any questions, that you wanted to ask and didn't (in other words, put yourself in the place of your students). Compare what you've written with the manuals you received with your attunements, and see if there is anything you could contribute beyond what is already in the maunual, for use in the class.
Try to think of the queries that have been on these posts, about what newly attuneed students have felt were both good and bad about their experiences.. etc.
If you feel it will be helpful, do a meditation on it and 'see' what you get from it. Hope this is of some use. I hope your classes are a wow. (And take an anchor:)))) the energy created as a teacher is phenomenol, and you may end up on the ceilingLOLOL:)))) )

I appreciate your reply, and will take the suggestions to heart. I know this is right for me; am just nervous and excited all at once. I am preparing my notes for the upcoming class....never thought of myself as a teacher prior to this...!
Take an anchor?! I have heard the energy created while giving a class is phenomenal...will enjoy the ride!!

My classes are the weekend of Aug 5 and 6th. Reiki I on the 5th and II on the 6th. I will let you know how it went. Thanks for the interest and Reiki..
