Hi all.
I have been a Reiki Master for over a year but something is happening to me now which is out of my experience so I would appreciate everyones views. YES - even Reiki 1's. I'm not too proud to say I am learning all the time.
I now find it uncomfortable to simply call upon the Healing Reiki to flow when involved in a session, distant or present. I am now strongly aware of the need for Healing Guides to projest the healing and sense one close to me when practicing. Having been involved in Spiritual Healing years ago which relied on healing guides only (unlike Usui Reiki which traditionally involves calling on the 'Universal Energy' - Remember Usui was a Buddhist) I now find drawing Reiki as an impersonal energy force from the Universe uncomfortable. Like Usui I rarely use the symbols any more as they seem to have outlived their usefulness and appear to me personally as almost primitive. Any ideas as to whats happening to me. Am I a Reiki Healer or a Spiritual Healer. Can I be both and remain true to either? Perhaps labels dont matter. What do you guys think?

i use everything that i have learned from teachers and spirets, so some times i dont know what to call what i am doing. the intent is most important and the acceptance of spirets and reiki energy.
i am new to this and there are people here that have years of wise experiance.

As one who has been involved with 'spirit channeling' before Reiki I can only say that you can only BE you and be true. I do believe however that their is a difference between 'direct Reiki Healing' and spiritual healing.
If you are more comfortable with spiriutual healing, but are bringing the openess and knowledge of Reiki into it, that is fine.
As for symbols, I always have felt 'why NOT symbols?'.

Go with the flow. What is right for you is right for you.
Trust your instincts. No labels, no symbols, no titles, no differences... just you and your intent. Yahoo!!!!
My experience. I feel the guides with me, sometimes mine, sometimes the clients.
Love, light and possibilities.
