question/suicidal reaction

Hello All!
I have a question about sending a distant healing to a friend of mine. She accepted the healing(a few weeks ago). Today I got an e-mail from her asking me not to send anymore Reiki. She said the night I had sent it she got very suicidal and luckily she knew to call her doctor. She is taking medication for depression/anxiety and has been for years.
She has been through a lot in her lifetime and I felt that she was releasing some of the negativity she has inside. But not being there with her to talk her through it she was in danger of ending it all.
My question is: Was she releasing after the Reiki and would having a direct session be better for her?
She has been a friend for more than 20 years and I want to help her but don't know how now.

Thanks All for listening.
Love,
Lorrie.

Lorrie,

/*\ Namaste :-}}

Whether the reiki had anything to do with her suicidal ideation "that night" is uncertain - I assume she has had similar ideation before -

But she has told you one way you may help her at the moment - no reiki - till she requests again.

Be supportive and be sure she knows you are in her corner.

Yes, energy work such as reiki can stimulate clearing or upsurging of all sorts of "stuff" - how people deal with that will be their responsibility -

- it is the practitioner's responsibility to be Mindful of the "state" of their clients and act accordingly.

Hope this helps,

all blessings,

Firekeeper

Hello Firekeeper!
Thank you for your response. I will let her know that I am always here for her, just wish I lived closer to her, I think it would help more.

Love,
Lorrie.

Lorrie,

Well, ask her if she minds if you keep her in your thoughts?

If she says that is great, tell her you will think of her as if you were there with her -

- and then simply post a nurtuing thought form in her house to keep a little TLC there for her.

Namaste Lorrie,

This is a hard one.

A year ago, my brother who drinks very heavily became depressed and suicidal. I was really scared and felt totally helpless...I used to talk to him for hours, he was put on Prozac and I offered him Reiki many times...either distant or hands on, but he always refused. I had to respect his choice, which was really hard because I wanted to help so much. But I have come to learn that there are many ways of healing Lorrie and just being on the end of a phone talking when they need to talk is one way to help and to be there. I also took the step of asking Angels of love and protection to surround my brother and I truly believe they did :)

Love,light and blessings
Helen.

Thanks Helen!
I will certainly be there for her and maybe one day when we can get together again I can help her more. I guess patience and long distance support will have to do for now.
Love,
Lorrie.
