Hello reiki friends
I haven't posted a message for a while, but I have been visiting regularly and reading all your wonderful thoughts.

I hope you don't mind me asking for a bit of help.

A couple of months ago, feeling very positive, I made the excellent decision to take part in a 500km bike ride for Mencap (charity for people with learning disabilities) along the Nile in Egypt. I have been training hard and am very excited to do it. However, I have to raise £2000. I felt able to take the challenge at the time but I'm now feeling scared that I wont be able to do it.

Basically, I'm hoping for some reiki to keep me positive about the task, and if any of you have some inspirational fundraising tips, I would be very grateful!

Have you tried approaching any local companies for sponsorship, or getting your local paper to do an article about you and the event.

The ride is in Feb next year, I have to raise the £2000 by early December! - eeek!!!

What a great place to ride. Will it be roads? Trails?

12-speeds? mountain bikes?

Funds? Apart from a sponsor or grant gift, I really don't have any sure-fire schemes. Second job? :-}}

They have sent very little info, I hoping it will be roads - it would save on the saddle sores! They are providing the bikes, so I really have no idea what I'm letting myself in for - all adds to the excitement!
