Hello everyone!
As Reiki is used to clear up energy blockages and smoothen out disturbed energy patterns, Reiki certainly appears to be a wonderful tool, helping us accomplish just about anything in our lives. But what I want to know is, will it actually aid in increasing one's own intelligence and intellect?
I used to be a stellar performer in my younger years. But down the line, things have changed and I truly feel older than what I really am (I am just 27). Nonetheless, I have a hard time keeping up with my collegues, bosses and what have you. I supposed this is a result of all the garbage that I have let invade me the past few years or so.
I have a hard time brainstorming, thinking fast, remembering names/details, etc. These are things I used to do with ease just a few years ago.
Any thoughts/comments would be valuable for me. Thank you very much!
love,
prashant

Dear Prashant,
I guess it depends on your definition of intelligence and intellect. Does it help you get higher IQ scores, I don't think so, but I think it definitely helps with clarity of mind. I can only speak from personal experience but I do feel reiki aids me in more than just a physical way. I have recently finished my reiki 2 and have been doing self treatment for the past three weeks on a daily basis. I have definitely noticed that I am able to be present in the moment a lot more. I have a lot more mental clarity and am more emotionally balanced. When you are balanced and more confident in yourself, I think one just naturally feels more intelligent. I feel I am able to convey my thoughts better to others and stand up for my opinions much more.
Not sure if this was the answer you were looking for. I'd love to hear if it has helped you feel more intelligent though.
Many blessings,
Cassandra

Dear Prashant,
Stress can interfere with the ability to concentrate & focus. Long term stress can interfere with reasoning abilities. Reiki helps with stress & therefore should assist with bringing you back to your intellectual baseline.
Nutrition,excercise,relaxation & adequate sleep are also required to maintain brain power.
peace & joy,
holobon

I agree with Cassandra, and don't forget that an IQ test is an artificial yardstick which may or may not reflect the true intelligence of a human being.

Well, well, the ripe old age of 27!!
Reiki can help clear the pathways of thinking. Make things more clear.
As you get older, you are going to meet more people, therefor more names to remember. More stuff to catagorize. As you were growing up, it was all done for you, this belongs with this, this in this pile, etc. Now you are learning to do it for yourself.
May I suggest positive affermations....over a long period of time? If you keep telling yourself how much trouble you are having remembering, it will only get worse.

Prashant,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
- sounds like a lot of "competitive" issues??
- "critical thinking" is not necesarily thinking fast, afterall
>:-}}
- also, often one's "knowledge base" can be helpful in coming up with things more quickly (or so it appears}

I can only speak for myself. I have noticed that my thinking is much more clear and I am able to more quickly pull facts together. Also more creative. Word finding problems still haunt me from time to time....but there is always something to improve!
There is a study that looked at massage , where students were given math tests after a massage the night before. Those who had massages scored considerably higher on the tests. I would guess that Reiki would render similar results at the least.
