It is said that "being in The Moment" can be an "timeless" experience.
:-}}
Now, I am not sure who said this - could be hearsay -
:-}}
- could have been a snipe who wanted the hunters to be distracted by all that "relevant" stuff.

I'm not sure you said it either but the phenominon (sp?) is interesting. This morning i went with a friend to an employment office. My friend bought his two kids. they complained about how long would they be there
and so I played mama bear's game with them. They sat there with each of their fingers meeting as in prayer, and concentrated on their hands. An hour later, they said it was only ten-fifteen minutes later dad came out and we left.
these two kids were not receptive to going to this office building believe me they were not receptive but the game diverted their attentions for their annoyance to cenetering themselves via meditation.
they were in the monment of meditation. while at the same time they were removed from the kaos about them.They were amazed that time went so slowly as the clock went so quickly.
Personally I and the people in the office were just happy they were quite!!!! When they got home there was a sibling blowup over the stereo, crying yelling all the normal stuff you would expect, however when we got into the
car they took a meditative posture and peace was restored. they did this on their own, not by anyone's prompting.
Oh well ... you said the word TIME and my story was like word association, hope it wasn't too boring.

Hi T2!
Thanks for sharing. I did NOT find this story boring. In fact it was extremely relevant! Now if you could just give a bit more detail on how you got them started on Momma Bear's game...... I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old who I would love to get to play - even for a moment! Blessings, batwings

Dear Firekeeper,
If one is "in the moment" then there is no past nor future, just the moment, hence a "timeless" experience.

T2,
namaste,
Good story, I hadn't seen mamabear's post on 'the game'. I will have to find it, sounds as if it may come in handy in a couple of weeks when I visit my friend. He has 3 very precocious little darlings that are going to wear me out I am sure and that sounds like a game I would find a use for.

Hi Firekeeper,
For today, it is hard for me to be in the moment. Personal stuff going on. I need to pray and meditate but work is not the best place for that. So the best I can do is share.
I have heard that when you live in the past you live in
depression and when you live in the future you live in anxiety so live in today for that is were the present is.

David,
/*\ Namaste :-}}
If speaking about "living" out of the present, yes these can be true -
yet seem rather "barren" views of the past and future if we don't "live" there -
- some of my fondest memories make me smile, not depressed
- some of my finest expectations make me smile also.

Hi peter,
Thank you for the positive view. I was in a negative space when I replyed. Some times I can get lost in the past or look to what may be to keep me out of the now because it may be painful. But we sometimes grow from crisis. I'm tring to grow from a place of peace and love.
thanks for your thoughts

Hi Holobon;
If one is in the moment, then who is left to notice it?

Dear Vinny,
The question would be then..is it possible for two or more to be in the same moment? If so, then being part of the moment would be noticed/experienced by all who are there...
having fun,
holobon
