Hi. The original instructions basically go like this, from Walter Lübeck's book. Apologies to Walter :) I hope it's clear enough for you to follow.
The first reiki channel is the receiver, who lies on his/her back and places one hand on the solar plexus, and the other on the heart.
Second channel at one side places a hand on the receiver's root, and the other hand on the receiver's 3rd eye/brow.
The third reiki channel, at the other side then puts a hand on the receiver's throat and the other hand on the sacral/sexual chakra. Reiki, reiki, reiki.
There's no change in hand position, just six chakras are each covered simultaneously. (It doesn't mention crown if you're wondering).
However, there's a modified method i prefer to use, where the difference is there are four people. The receiver lies down as in a normal treatment. Then three Reiki II's or above assume the hand positions as described above, with the extra person covering the solar plexus and heart.
Each of the three reiki channels then visualise the two chakras opening, and use their intuition to decide whatever color(s) need to be sent or whatever :). In fact, most of the next part relies heavily on intuition.
If it's evident there's a blockage (or a 'log jam' as i heard someone call it, LOL) after roughly five or ten minutes or so of reiki, send these symbols to whichever chakra(s) in this order: CKR + SHK + HSZSN + CKR.
Visualise the symbols penetrating the chakras....
When you draw symbol 3, it needs to be sent with intent to cleanse from the time when the blockage started to form, and then turn around to go forward cleansing into the future. Visualise this happening....
Tissues are strongly recommended because it can be quite emotional - especially if all six are done, but as we know it all depends on the person and the type of blockage etc etc... You might want to change it to suit your needs or use crystals or whatever.
