The Reiki Cafe 

namaste everyone i was just wondering once you have taken your reiki 1 can you start to help people by using reiki ,?, or can you only start after reiki 2, what happens during a reiki 1 course?

sorry that when im online i do not get involed in the other topics you all chat about ,its just you are all so advanced in your knowledge i feel out of my depth thats why i keep asking questions

You can work on others at any level.
What happens in any reiki class will vary according to the teacher and the system.

Yes, after training and attunement in reiki one, self-healing and hands on practices with others are the order of the day. :-}}

I would say that a reiki one course ought to be two days - learning a little history, getting some perspectives on energy work in general, and the hands on training of the essential hand positions as well as a bit on reiki practice planning and strategy for self and others.

Then some attunements and you are hot to practice. :-}}

thanks for joining, and asking. I feel out of my depth some of the time too, but ask anyway - sometimes to the point of irritating myself when I "don't get it", but this is the place to ask and learn. As is Vinnys site for absorbing and learning.

For what its worth, I "think" that anyone can heal naturally, but atunements tend to help us help ourselves first, others in time. (Probably wrong, but am learning!!)

Wow, I can remember feeling the exact same when I was level 1 & first started visiting here...didnt participate because everyone else was more "advanced." I think it took me weeks to get up the nerve to post a question & I frequently felt like I was from another planet cause I couldnt tell what half the posts were about. ( HeHeHe...thats sometimes STILL true so dont feel so bad).
