Hi everyone

Has anyone else been feeling hungry more than normal?

I've been ravenous for a week now - not for bigger meals really, just eating more often. The odd thing is that I've been losing a little weight (I hope that keeps up) :-}}}

I just wondered if this is another one of the things lots of us are experiencing or just me going through a gluttony phase!!

Yummy thoughts

Eleanor

Hi Eleanor, namaste ....

I relate to what you have posted .... I have been eating more than usual ... trouble is, unlike you, I am NOT losing weight ...

Anybody got any slimming tips? :-}} I put part of it down to the grotty weather we have had of late in the UK.

Namaste Eleanor!
I too have noticed it lately. I seem to do this in spurts, and just thought it was one of those times. I also thought it had something to do with me again doing a walking regime, of 2+ miles every other day at least. Hope to lose a few pounds and get some quiet time in with myself.

Lol...I HAD to look up 'grotty'. It is just what I thought. "Wretchedly shabby; of poor quality." Teddibly Brittish and teddibly accurate, eh what?

Think yourself slimmer - I've been trying this for ages and I think that's what's doing the trick.

Inside I feel like Kate Moss - but when I look in the mirror I leap back because the two images are SO different!

Anyway try positive thinking - like Louise Hay teaches - affirm that you are slim - recite it morning, noon and night - I AM THE PERFECT SIZE AND WEIGHT (or words to that effect).

Grotty weather here - try Spain - two weeks of HOT sun - magic in every sense. However coming back here was strange (as always) but this time I have noticed that the light here is truly amazing and the washing smells wonderful when it comes off the line (it didn't in Spain for some reason). This might sound mad but I'm a big fan of washing blowing on the line and the wonderful smell afterwards and I missed it - yes even on holiday I missed it!!!!!

I can't help going on about Spain - I feel its my true home and I crave beyond reason to be there. I'll try not to bore anyone. :-}}}

Remember - I AM THE PERFECT SIZE AND WEIGHT.

Lots of love

Eleanor

Hi Zizzr

How do you find the time to walk 2 miles every day. Where do you get the energy - or do you get more energy by walking the two miles every day?

I have the time to do this but don't. I do however walk on the beach quite a lot - I beachcomb for wood for our fire. I find walking without a reason difficult somehow. When I do wander about in the woods etc I love it but I can manage more if I have a purpose. And of course if I'm shopping I can walk all day and sometimes need to when I have my daughter with me!! Is this what they mean when they say that children keep you young?!!

My hat comes off to you. Well done.

Love

Eleanor

Namaste Eleanor!
I admit I do a lot of grumbling as I do it, especially on days like today where I had cut the lawn, did the laundry and shopping! Did NOT want to walk, but walk I did. Some days after work I can not walk, but I am trying to stick with it. Not sure how I will do once the Texas temperatures soar above 90 degrees. But for now, I am the perfect size and shape, and I can walk!

Thank you for your reply - I am a great believer in mind over matter, and the power that our minds wield, so I shall certainly try your ideas ... I will let you know if it works - and also be eternally grateful!
I have to take medication which does cause weight gain, but I know some people who are on the same thing, and they havn`t gained much.
I know it is what is on the inside that is important too, but I just don`t feel comfortable with the extra pounds.

Thanks again,

philanty

p.s. I love Spain too - used to go every year when the kiddies were little, took everything down in an old estate car bar the kitchen sink, and just lapped it up - people there were just so friendly. Could certainly do with the sunshine right now!!

Hi again holobon

I've just eaten my mail meal of the day (main course only so far) and I had a strange experience.

It was, unusually for me, mainly meat and veg, with some potatoes. It was a fabulous meal. It wasn't particularly small but I still feel empty. Its an odd emptiness as if I hadn't eaten somehow. I find I'm craving pastry, cake, bread etc.

If this is the right thing (for me at least at the moment) I obviously feel I need more carbohydrate. Given that we get a lot of energy from carbohydrate and I 'need' more, I feel therefore that I must be using masses of energy and need that replaced.

I'm not a particularly active person on the whole so my question really is (I think) do we use a lot of energy while going through the vibrational changes that are happening?

Its a bit scary to follow such a high carbohydrate diet given my blobbiness!!

I just thought I'd ask what you thought of this. Have you, or any others, experienced a craving for a high carbohydrate diet?

from pie-eyed

Eleanor

Hi all,

(jumping right into the middle of a conversation, like I know what is going on...)

I changed my diet a bit over a month ago. Had to do it, I was feeling bad physically, and getting worse. There is a book out there called "Eat Right For Your Type". Meaning blood type.

I never thought I would do it, it seemed wwwaaaaayyyyyy too radical to me, but I have taken red meat, along with some other things out of my diet. The book is right about A blood types, chances are it could be right about whatever blood type you are and how to change your diet to be healthier... You do have to know what your blood type is, but most people do, if you have ever given blood. (By the way, other types don't have to give up red meat)

It took about 4 weeks to get rid of the cravings, (I still know where EVERY Mexcan restaurant in this town is located) :o} but now the things I used to take for granted in a meal, don't appeal to me. It is really interesting.

The things I do eat, I reiki first, to bless the meal. I don't eat as much as I did, either.

Just have to work on the exercise 'thing'.

Blessings, Priestess

Dear Lumpflink,

I watch my carbos carefully..no longer eat pasta or white bread...concentrating on fresh veggies & fruits, salad, chicken, fish, yogurt, turkey, etc. Eat a whole grain cereal (Kashi) & whole grain bread & sweet potatoes. Other than that no crackers, white potatoes or rice, etc. Cheat from time to time though. I feel so much better!! Have lost 37 lbs over a year & 3 months...15 more to go & they are the hardest!!!
If you spread your protein intake over the day it keeps your blood sugar even & helps decrease cravings. Would reccommend the book, Sugar Busters. I plan to continue eating well after I reach my target weight. I have more energy with this diet & have not starved myself...have learned to make good choices. Carbos like bread, rice, etc make me gain quickly.

Good luck..the first 2 weeks is the hardest!!! You can do it. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day..it makes a BIG difference!!!

Happy healthy eating!!

Last summer I began meditating, and started eating healthier. I was 285 and I'm now 230 and steady. But part of the process was I sat in a park in a near by town and imagined I was eating the food aromas about me. Granted this is waaaaayyyyyyy out there... but think about it a moment!!
We can get poison ivy by inhaling the burning of that plant! If someone were smoking does not that smoke gets in OUR lungs.
So why not the nutrients from the food being cooked.
Let's exstrapalate a liitle more, meditating is a form of prayer, and during prayer, are we not consuming the word of God, buddha, or a any positive deity!
At the end of my (meal) a bible passage came to my awareness. Man does not live by bread alone, but by the word of God.
I don't know if this relates but reading your posts is like word association sometimes. I found I could go two or three days with very little food and not be hungry if I maintained the proper frame of meditative mindfullness. I still eat two big meals a week and fruits and vegatables
as a fill in.

Eleanor,

I have been finding myself eating more recently as well. I was chalking it up to doing more energy work than I was before. I also have found that I must eat regular meals during the day rather than skip meals like I have done in the past. I too am losing weight. (awesome to lose and eat too)

I am giving either Reiki or massage at least daily now and most days three sessions of one or the other or even both. It has helped me be nice to me by eating regular good meals.

Hiya!

I'm glad to hear that someone else has experienced this. A few months ago I went part-time and I now practice Reiki on Wed's, treating 4-5 people a day. I started to find that I stuffed myself on Thurs & Fri ... and because I hadnt planned to do so, I ate all the wrong things and put on weight (but thats another issue ;)).

My teacher suggested that after a Reiki session we need to Ground, which is one of the reasons we give a client a glass of water. So I was needing to ground ALOT!! I've now started planning ahead ... I eat alot of small healthy snacks on Wed, go to yoga on Wed night and take fruit for Thurs & Fri. I have been much better recently and stopped binging, so I think that was the answer for me.

Hope this helps.
cheers

Hi, Eleanor!
I have found that after I give a Reiki treatment, I lose weight and am ravenous! It feels like my body is just metabolizing food better. I do feel like eating very healthfully . If I go a week without giving a treatment, I start to feel sludgy, and start to gain weight, even if I have not been eating more!I have noticed this pattern for over two years!
Interesting stuff, this Reiki?
Yum Yum!!

Hey there Eleanor,

I just received my Reiki level II Attunement last week. I've developed a tremendous appetite. I'm hungry all the time now. I'm truly afraid I'm gonna eat myself out of house and home. I'm slim so I'm not worried about the weight....it's the consumption and I'm drinking a lot of water (really thirsty too!!) Take care...Love and Light

Peter,

Any increase in energy within the body will increase the body's need for fuel. I imagine it wil level off a bit as your body adjusts to the change of energy within you!!!
Guess Reiki is great for the grocery stores!!! BAGL...
