The Reiki Cafe 

Namaste all,

While self treating, I often sense another area of my body, other than where my hands are, being healed and receiving energy. Is this my Guides working on healing particular areas, or is it the Reiki energy itself?

Also, I received a treatment two days ago from my mother in law and the same thing happened. When she moved her hands from my throat chakra, to my thymus, I could still sense 'hands' at my throat. I have an underactive thyroid and often when I send distance healing, I also sense a lot of activity at my throat.

Do our Guides get involved with healing us as well as helping us with distant healing and healing others?

My intuition tells me that this is my Guides at work....

Has anyone any ideas?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

My personal experience is that they are always there. Actually I often send an SOS to have even more show up! I like the energy from them, for one, and they like the reiki energy, because as we receive reiki, so do they.
So everyone who shows up, receives, and gives.

If you are 'seeing' them, congratulations..!! You are certainly growing in your awareness.

I often feel, and have had others tell me that they 'feel' more than one set of hands when reiki is being done. A friend told me the other day, that even tho she knew that I had my hands at her temples, that she could feel hands on her solar plexus as well.

My Usui RM calls this 'ghost reiki' I often feel it when working on myself and others tell me they feel it when I am working on them.
I don't know if it is 'guides' or the energy itself going where it is most needed.
I always ask for assistance when healing or attuning and aometimes feel the presence of my 'angels' very strongly.

What a lovely thought, that our Guides are receiving too as they give. I always find the sensation very comforting to have them there, so I am glad to know that it is my Guides and that they are receiving something back too.

Yes this is a good description of the feeling.

Sometimes it feels as though there is more than one pair of hands...I too always ask for assistance and protection and I feel very comforted to have them around me :)

During distance treatments, sometimes the person sending energy will also, knowingly or not, project astral hands which may well be perceived by the person accepting the reiki practice.

The astral energy hands my stay intact in one place (temporarily) as the Intent in the distance work moves eleswhere.

Some people who 'see' may report the exact location of the astral hands.

When you say 'see', is this in the literal sense or can the hands be felt. What I mean is do people who 'see' do so necessarily with their eyes?....if you see what I mean :))

On rare occasions, I am able to see with my physical eyes. Most of the time, I see with my 'other' eyes. A picture will come into my mind. or, I will see energy move when a person is talking. Usually it is because of a question that I have asked them, sometimes I just ask 'WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT?'

I would suggest that you work on your 3rd eye!!! Request that it be opened, if you like. For most of us it takes time......time.......time....... saying thank you to our guides and inner being, for the times when it is right, and asking for more. ;-))) It is not overnight. I have been requesting more and more for the last 10 years!!! I have a little bit now. ;-))

One will "see" the astral with that which corresponds with aspects of the 3rd eye.

Yes, one can sometimes feel the warmth of the astral hand when the real (during hands-on) or "intentional" hands (during distance) have moved on.

According to me, the mind is always behind the hands, for the healing process. Sometimes, as the mind slips from the area, where the hands are on at work, the thought waves are so powerful that through one's subcoscious mind,which has its own dimensions in the three worlds, scans the other areas and do the needful.
